I had an interesting conversation today at work regarding registered massage therapy and company benefits. Since some of the girls are actually licensed massage therapists, I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried to be reimbursed for the "services' they received? I think it would be pretty suspicious, yet funny to use up your whole year's worth of benefits on a duo.

Insurance policies have a cap on a given single service. While you may have a $500 annual limit it won't be claimable on one visit. For example I had a massage at a Hilton Spa a few years ago and they charged 110 but the reimbursement was adjusted to the local average of $90.

Interesting. I wonder if you could get away with claiming services from an MP, provided of course that the SP was licensed in massage therapy and you could convince her to provide you with a receipt.

I believe that as long as you get a receipt you would be good to go. But of course that receipt has to have the massage therapists name (i.e. the SPs real name) & license number, which I would think is not going to happen.

any legitimate massage therapist whose services are covered would be a member of one of the massage therapist associations and if the SPs could get into the organization their membership would be revoked immediataly if knowledge of them provideing sexual services was discovered. It is already a proffession which has a tough enough repuation without this knocking it down another couple of notches.

Back in Ottawa, there was a pretty well known 'licensed' massage parlor that would offer legit receipts for the massage session (typically $50-75) but the girls would also offer extras. It was sketchy but I never seemed to care. My insurance would cover the massage and I'd pay for the extra (usually $40 for topless hj). I've been looking for a spot in Vancouver that might offer a similar type of deal.
