*Rant regarding the above news article*
So last year wps arrested Ferosh Tailor for "human trafficking" the same ladies.
Then all those ladies wps claimed to be victimized by Ferosh, organize themselves to continue providing services, in which they clearly wanted to provide.
FF, wps decides to arrest one of the ladies due to a disgruntled ladies false allegations. They originally claimed she was victimized by Ferosh and are now attempting to charge her with similar false allegations.
A PRIME EXAMPLE OF WPS WASTING TIME, ENERGY AND TAX PAYERS MONEY.
Ive worked at previous "licensed city of winnipeg" parlors in which I was told it was mandatory to provide sex to every client. I was told this by the parlours owners. I was told that it was impossible to work anywhere else or even open my own establishment, as only they and one other place were "allowed" to do so under city of winnipeg licensing. Ive had to deal with clients that were drunk and high out of their minds. Ive had to work with co workers using meth, fentanyl, pills and other hard drugs. Ive wittnessed my co workers at these "licensed" parlors have over doses and almost die and still be welcomed back into the establishment.
Now the city of Winnipeg has revoked the licensing but has not forced these establishment to close. DESPITE knowing what goes on onside these establishments. Instead they've chosen to ruin a young womans life who did infact chose to go down this path along with every other likeminded individual in said group.
Why Aren't those business owners also being arrested for human trafficking, material benefit, procurement or even possession of drugs with intent to traffic. The lists could go on!
The exploitation unit knows these places exist. They know what goes on behind closed doors. I have personally spoken with the unit on multiple occasions on location, while employed at said "licensed city of winnipeg" parlors. Ive reached out to them in the past for Assistance while working at said parlours and never recieved actual Assistance for the matters I brought up.
Help actual victims.
Save actual women, children or even men who are actually in-danger and at the risk being trafficked and harmed.
SEX WORK DOES NOT EQUAL HUMAN TRAFFICKING.
Stop coming for individuals and groups who are not at risk, who chose sex work as their path, who prefer to work in a safe environment as a group. JUST LIKE ANY OTHER BUSINESS IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY.
I do not consider myself to be trafficked. The ladies ive met throughout my last 7 years of sex work wanted to be in the industry. We want to make an income that doesn't just get us by in life and provide for ourselves and our families.
I wake up everyday grateful for the roof over my head, Grateful of the joys I can provide to myself, my family and even my friends. I am grateful of all my hard work and devotion to what ive consider to be the HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY. I will always be grateful for the path Ive chosen and will continue down this path weather wps or any other joe blow likes it or not.
The sex industry is not going anywhere. It has been around longer then any current human on this earth and will continue to be around long after our life spans.
There will always be a demand for sex.
It pains me to know what this individual is enduring due to these awful untruthful allegations.
I would never wish this on my worst enemy, in turn I would hope no one would wish this on me.
