I think you spend less time trying to find reasons not to wear a mask and get a couple of cloth masks and wash them regularly.

Bud this is about water droplets which come from symptomatic transmission. If you're sick wear a mask but asymptomatic transmission comes from aerosol and masks don't do anything for that.

So Alberta doesn't have a provincial mask mandate because dickhead Jason Kenney refuses to issue the order, eventhough the Health Minister and others have begged him to. Now they are whining to the Feds and the Red Cross, that they need Field Hospitals because they are over run with cases.

I just don't get it. I hate wearing a mask all day. I have trouble with it as I'm older, overweight and so out of shape it's a joke. At times, I struggle breathing through it. But I wear it. If I can prevent just one person from getting this virus and potentially dying or even passing it on to someone who may die of it, the mask worked. For those that say masks don't work, show me proof that wearing a mask causes more transmissions than not wearing one.
Come into my business without one and you will be told to put one on, refuse to do it and out you go. My human rights trump yours in my place of work.

I totally agree with you. Dr ioannidis was one of the first doctors to come out and say the covid reaction was completely overblown. You have to look at the infection fatality ratio and not the case fatality ratio and when you do this we are seeing similar numbers to the pandemic in 1989 I think it was?

I recently bought a box of 98% rated masks from novotextiles in Coquitlam and wow, I'm impressed. I've been using cloth masks with an insert and Novo's are so much more better. Better intake, better fit, feels so light on the face. Not expensive either: $40 for a box of 50.

That's how I felt in the beginning when the mask rule started coming in. Now I have a good mask I wear everywhere and I feel comfortable wearing it.
I definitely make my shopping a very fast one as possible .
Yes, virus particles can get through masks, but the point isn't to be 100% effective. Masks reduce how far you spread the virus into the air and how much virus people are exposed to. People exposed to less virus particles are less likely to get sick and have fewer symptoms even if they do.
