1. So this afternoon I found myself in one of the divided states of America and I was hungry so I ate at this family restaurant. There was this annoying mascot dressed up like big bird walking around and making faces at all the kids. Every time he walked by my table I had to look the other way to avoid him. Is it just me, or has anybody else had the strong urge to kick one of these mascots in the nuts and film the reaction?

2. I bought Jackie Brown SE and Pulp Fiction SE for $18 US at Target (I think that's a good buy... I think last time I saw them they were around $40 CDN at most cdn places)... can't wait to watch them as I'm a big Tarantino (sp?) fan... anyways, the checkout girl was a nice young little spinner named Annalise. Reminded me of Annalise Lane (hey, I think I spelled your name right this time :)). I was tempted to ask her if she a relative with the last name Lane and whether she "worked", but I refrained...

I think I just watch too much TV and movies... this post was inspired by the Itchy and Scratchy episode of the Simpsons where both Bart AND Homer kick a mascot... I thought it was frickin' hilarious... I think Bart even throws a stink bomb into the guy's suit... they both get sent to the "time out area" and then they announce publicly "Marge Simpson, please report to the time out area. Your son Bart is there." And then later, they say "Marge Simpson, please report to the time out area... Bart's older and fatter brother is now there too." :D

And c'mon Annalise... ever since I saw that black and white picture of that thong, I knew there's a spinner within ;). Like Vader says, "Search your feelings... you know it to be true!"

DOH!!!! Now that would be a big mistake... at least I could offer to "make it up to her" by taking her out for dinner... ah that's it... Mav's new pickup technique. :rolleyes:

The costume was of a male "character", but that doesn't mean who was inside was male. I guess I could talk to the mascot first and get a read on the voice coming out.

Ok only way is to send a kid in there and kick and find out later... ;)

If I did it, I would get charged and probably put away for life in the US law courts of injustice.

You're never going to believe this... I was in Bellis Fair again today... and while walking by the same restaurant, that stupid annoying maskot was there again! He "waved at me" and I'm like what the f$ck? I'm 25-40 years old (can't reveal my real age)... not a kid... so I look away... turn my head again to look back, and he's still waving and smiling at me, almost to annoy me on purpose... I check to see if there are possible kids he could be smiling at... nope... just a bunch of middle aged people and me... so I continue walking a bit down the mall, look back ONE last time... and the moron is still waving and smiling at me.... aarrrggghhh... I wanted to go up to him and throw a stink bomb into his suit like Bart does in the Itchy and Scratchy land episode... but that probably would have gotten me thrown into the detention room with my "older and fatter" brother. :D

It's not paranoia when the restaurant mascots of the world really HAVE joined together to make your life a living hell, Maverick. Next they'll be recruiting sports mascots to join their cause as well. All they really want, though, is for you to reveal your true age. Bite the bullet, man. Spit it out. Then the waving and smiling will stop. Trust me. ;)
