Dawn Wells (Mary Ann in Gilligan's Island) died this morning of Covid complications in Los Angeles.

I was always a Mary Ann guy not a Ginger guy. I thought that Dawn's sense of humour and style made the show great.

Very sad to see her depart this life.

Ginger was unbelievable in her day, it's worthwhile to try and find some of her other roles online.

She was very bitter about her casting on Gilligan's Island. The producers tricked her into signing her contract by making her believe the show would be centred on her.
Once locked in she had to pass up many more lucrative movie offers.
Then when she complained she got blackballed for being "difficult". Much the same abuse happened to Raquel Welch later.
Hollywood treated women like shit.
