Disney brought the Marvel rights a few years ago.
Most Marvel movies were made by 20th Century Fox, Marvel Studios, or Columbia Pictures.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_based_on_Marvel_Comics_publications

Netflix made some of the best marvel charactor TV shows which included DareDevil, Luke Cage, The Punisher, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist and the Defenders. These were all canceled due to Disney new streaming channel. Along the same lines of CBC cancelling the Star Trek (Kelvin line) for movies??
So far on Disney they have Legends (approx 5 min recap of the marvel charactors of Wanda and Vison) which I think sucks, because there is nothing new.
There is a show called WandaVision, which is very weird. I quit watching halfway through the first episode. Maybe I will drag myself through a "I love Lucy" 50s tv show with Wanda and Vision!!

So far I can say that for marvel stuff/material so far Disney is not hitting well; at least not for me. Which leads me to think that their future marvel films will bust....

Although Disney seems to have hit above average on its StarWars stuff, like the Clone Wars, Rebels, and the show Mandalorian have done well.

Totally agree on your points when it comes to the Netflix and Star Wars stuff :)
But I don't know where you can say future Marvel films will bust...ESPECIALLY when you said Films, if you said TV, i just may give it to you. (Although in defense of WandaVision, you haven't even gotten to episode 3 yet where it starts to feel like an MCU production again).
Marvel has not delivered a bomb film yet, some may say Captain Marvel, but there's still plenty of potential to come from all the stuff that happened in Endgame.
They have Black Widow and Thor 4 on standby, Chris Evans was mentioned as signing back on again so the star power is still there, so are the creative teams.

Don't worry, Disney won't let a cash cow like the MCU fail.

I was a major Marvel follower as a kid, had original comics that unfortunately got tossed by my mom ... Spiderman 1-65, DD same, early Avengers, X-Men etc etc. Followed the early Marvel movies, enjoyed them, then the whole Marvel universe got confused best term I could come up with. I followed the Avengers series up to End Game and I guess that did it for me and I finally admitted, I have outgrown Marvel comics.

Disney is to blame for the last trilogy, which was absolute SHIT.
Blows my mind they can pay someone millions to write scripts that are garbage, and pay Rain millions to produce movies that are garbage.
The Last Jedi may be the worst SW project ever.

Thank god they got Favreau and Filoni on board.

Yep, End Game is actually a nice jumping off point if you had you're fill. The one big arc you may miss is the amalgamation of the X-men characters into the main MCU. Sorry to hear about your old comics though, they'd be worth a good chunk of change about now!

Your last sentence says it all.
Honestly, i don't even know how much control the last trilogy's writers had.....I'm sure Kathleen Kennedy had stupid motives to shove Rey down everybody's throats, and it didn't work and blew up in their faces. Complete shit show, i'm not going to give any slack to Abrams EITHER, Force Awakens was a stupid rehash of the original trilogy!
And the BIGGEST catastrophe was you (Disney) managed to sign up the big 3 (Hamill, Fisher, Ford), yet you don't even try to get them in a scene together, that's just a complete waste of a reunion

How many times can they blow up a Death Star? Three so far. And let’s give our buddies Laura Dern and G del Toro pointless roles for fun. Admiral in a prom dress in battle and a meth head tweaker safecracker.

And they could have done so much with Finn, a Stormtrooper who saw the light. The whole triloogy could have been him developing into a Jedi, with a decent treatment of Luke Skywalker as mentor.
Instead they forgot him and made a mockery of Luke.
What a waste of potential eh?

Skip Wandavision to episode 4, and decide from there if it's worth starting it again properly.

And THAT'S what made it feel like a rehash....you have a new chance to re-introduce the Imperials as serious badasses, and yet once again you build a Death Star with a stupid weak point. Like c'mon already, been there done that TWO TIMES already! If Abrams thought, oh hey lets do this for the new era of SW fans....what's the damn point, all the current fans have seen the old trilogy already!!!

As for Luke, decent treatment would've been nice...too bad it took Favreau/Filoni to show the Luke we've all imagined. But even so, along the timeline he will have to revert to the shithead we saw in Last Jedi.
I don't blame the actors for Rey/Poe/Finn in not wanting to come back and touch anything to do with Star Wars. Brutal scripts....and that's without going into RISE, HAHAHA.

Skip Wandavision to episode 4, and decide from there if it's worth starting it again properly.
Yes, ep3 still has mostly the sitcom stuff going on.

Critics. I remember after a discussion of movies once, alot of guys were saying "I can tell what happens" etc, etc. One guy finally spoke up and said, When I go to the movies I go there to be entertained and not to critique the movie. Silencing the critics.

Kind of makes you look at movies in a whole new way.

But back to the Marvel movies and TV shows. Netflix did an awesome job on Punisher, Dare Devil etc, and then the rug was pulled out from under their feet. It was the charactor development that I was impressed with. Not sure Disney is going to have the same impact in the same way.

I like the "kelvin" line of Star Trek movies. It was more for the back ground of the movies. Better digital backgrounds etc. Almost like the more our world technology increase the technology in the movie timeline.
First movie: you see the starship being built on earth
Second movie: Size of the construction base of the battleship, overview of future City at end.
Third movie: Detail of the StarBase
Again the rug looks like it has been pulled out from under the studios feet.

Alot of the decission was the business of money. Disney pulled marvel back to do its own streaming service. CBC pulled it back for the same reason....

Does it mean the public is going to get better done stories?
