Yes the whole idea of a mate charging you with rape or sexual assault if you are leading a normal married life is pretty disillusioned. Several years ago a friend was having spouse problems and while on vacation in the USA his wife in a bout of anger threatened to call the police if he tried to have sex with her. He realized the severity of the consequences of the police arriving at his resort door and immediately left and slept in his rental car. She had also hid his passport so he couldn't walk out. But he has never gone near her since. Whether she meant it or not wasn't the issue. The costs of dealing with something like this are terrible. If you don't have a reasonable loving relationship in s marriage get out. The costs of the consequences are severe. Or just stay away from the person sexually and get it somewhere else
