But this modern condition where women get to cherry-pick the best of both worlds and leave men with the scraps is bull$hit. Equal pay for work of equal value is admirable. But equal pay, but the man foots all the bills is crap.

I agree. Babes you wanted equality you got it. Now please pay half the bill when we go out to eat. Definitely not on a first date. If you click with someone you both treat each other and no one keeps score. Women want to be pampered regardless of equality issue. But for me a girl arriving on the scene with a sense of entitlement and you pay...see ya later. If we have coffee and mutually like each other it would be the guys suggestion let me take you out to so and so place. That's how a gentleman would do it and how a gracious lady would accept it.
