he needs to take a simple blood test and get on with the fight. as it is now they are both punks for not ending this.

Just a prediction - the much awaited big-time fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao will take place in November 2010 in Dallas. All this drama about blood tests and PPV shares will finally take a backseat to the power of money. :)

I want Pac to win too, but unfortunately it's not the most likely scenario.

FM is basically an act, I wouldn't take anything he says seriously as his only motive is $$$.

They were schedule to fight this May and it went sideways when FM insisted on Olympic style drug testing and Pac refused. I've got mixed emotions about this whole issue. I think Sugar Shane Mosely's poor performance may have been related to him not being able to take steriods and he had a serious decline in performance. But given that he's 38 perhaps father time caught up with him. But I think it's the boxing commissions who should determine the drug testing policy and not individual fighters.

That said if they ever got into the ring together, I'd be routing for Pac. The only problem is that if he wins, people are going to be saying that he's better than Duran, hell they're already saying that which is ludicrous. But if Floyd wins, they'll pretty much be saying the same thing. These are great, great fighters, but they're not in the level of Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, or Sugar Ray Robinson. But they could end up making Top 20 in terms of all time great and the winner of this fight will certainly have a higher claim than the loser, especially if it's Floyd Mayweather, who will still remain undefeated.

Gotta wait till next year for the Big Fight instead. If the Main Event pushed through November 2010 then boxing will suffer a big blow afterward as Manny is expected to retire after fighting Floyd Mayweather. So I guess from a boxing promoters ( Bob Arum ) monetary prospective, have a few more fights before the Big One. The problem is there is no more new exciting opponent in the horizon for Manny. Cotto? Margarito?

UFC will get a better share of PPVs as compared to boxing. :)

FM doesn't want to lose..............it's as simple as that and he knows Pac has a chance to beat him.
Oh well..............UFC here we come!

I can't fathom that Pac refused to go through with the testing for any other reason than fear of getting caught

It's finally Pacquiao vs. Margarito this coming November. Promoter Bob Arum probably felt a rematch against Cotto wouldn't sell that much PPVs. Nice venues considered from Monterey to Dallas to Abu Dhabi as Margarito might encounter problems getting a license for Las Vegas. Monterey venue is only about 23,000 but its near Pebble Beach and the scenic 18-mile road that leads to it. As in Manny's last fight, Jerry Jones is pretty serious about promoting his new Stadium in Dallas. The Cowboys owner is a crazy guy but he surely knows how to make money. Manny's last fight in Dallas was packed with more than 55,000 in attendance. However, if the richest of them all which is Abu Dhabi makes a good offer it will be there. They already brought F1 racing there and the fight would put them on the map for tourism. Well, wherever the fight is, Margarito is bound to get crushed. :) :)

I'm starting to doubt we're ever going to see a Pac-FM fight. They really should just split the purse 50-50 because without either there's no event. And as far a drug testing goes, it seems to me they boxing commission, to regulate that, fighters should simply meeting the standards of whatever the commission decides.

The testing was a cop out from FM. Funny no other boxer has ever had a problem with it. I hope FM stays retired, not sure if I wanna see Pac have to chase him around the ring. The one thing Pac has that FM will never have is class....I'm glad he moved on from this fight, cause he's a fighter.

Gotta admire Manny Pacquiao's love for public office. He recently got elected to the House of Congress of his country. He spent almost US$ 2.2 Million to campaign for a Congressional Seat in his District. The salary of a Congressman there is about $ 1,000 a month. At least, he's already preparing for retirement and making a difference for his country the same time. Steve Nash already has the best health club chain in BC when he retires in a couple of years.

Reminds me of California politics where Republican and former Ebay CEO Meg Whitman is throwing her money around to succeed the Governator. Democrat Moonbeam Jerry Brown, inspite of his age, is still favored to win though. The Democrats come November will take a beating from the Republicans but not for the Governorship of California. :) :)

The recent racial slurs of Mayweather against Manny just means that the much awaited fight between the two fighters will finally push through next year. Just the normal hype before a Big Fight. Not surprise to hear those nasty stuff ever since Don King came to the picture a few weeks ago. Bob Arum takes care negotiating for Manny while Don King is now taking care of Mayweather's side. Don King loves the bad guy good guy stuff. Like Mr. T in Rocky 3 and Dolph Lungren in Rocky 4. Expect more drama in the weeks and months ahead.

Mayweather's big mouth is quite similar to that of James Toney. I hope he doesn't last in the ring as fast as Toney did in the octagon versus Couture. :) :)

Since Margarito recently made fun of Freddie Roach, Pac's trainer - I'd say he'll take the early exit as Hatton did as compared to Clottey. Manny in 3 rounds tomorrow in Dallas. :)

Manny was fun to watch at Jimmy Kimmel's show especially with comedian Will Ferrell. :) :)

Manny is definitely the best pound for pound fighter in boxing right now. Although, he didn't knock out Margarito - he did make a punching bag out the taller and bigger opponent and probably won all 12 rounds during the fight.

The best part of the night was when the Dallas Cheerleaders were singing the American national anthem, they were freakin' damn hot. :) :)

Funny thing is I think Manny makes in one fight what the entire UFC fighters collectively make in a year.
i love mma and am not the biggest fan of boxing.... but this a verrrrry true statement. actually i think u may be lowballing it.

most of the bigger names, ie lesnar, liddell, rampage, gsp make around 500k per fight. most fight about 3 times a year so approx 1.5 million.

manny makes 20 million per fight guaranteed. so does mayweather. this is before their cut of the ppv. so say roughly 25 million per fight. and they mostly fight twice a year making it 50 million.

so they make approx 33x's what mma fighters make. this makes me sad. lol.

Manny is da man, no doubt about it!
The present Golden Boy of the boxing world. The Big Fight in Dallas had 1.4 Million PPV buys.

Promoter Bob Arum brought Pacman to Sin City to campaign for embattled Democratic Senator Harry Reid just before the November 2nd elections. Might have saved the Democrats from further embarassment, imagine if your Senate President couldn't win in his own turf. :) :)
