Well, there is such a word or term ...The word used to descibe a person of mixed race - some refer to it as a slang word in Spanish for mixed race.
The Portugese use the word a lot - more related to religious terms and to class, where malados were slaves or servants, :
"In any case, the truly significant thing about malado is that it referred to servants and 'those who must serve', which concepts could easily embrace not only the children under Patrio Poder but also half-brothers or sisters, children of slaves or concubines. One can easily see how a half-black child, for example, raised in such a household, could be called a malado (in fact, he would have to be one). This is certainly very close to later mulato".
My portugese friends who are eagerly waiting for the World soccer to begin, have confirmed that there is such a word.
BTW YouTube has a lot of mixed race ladies dancing to songs with the word malado.
