Like anything else, like your first drink, don't expect anything. Let yourself enjoy the motions and let those fantasies and expectations start being ground into reality. It'll take a few times before you start learning to be comfortable in your own skin, let alone being comfortable with company, so budget for that.
Finally, do what others have suggested, go learn how to meet women and get into a relationship. It's a hard city to do it in, and I know better than most how hard it actually is but ultimately this is *not* a solution, it's merely a step into in the right direction of being a fully fleshed out person.

Does the age matter if the circumstances are the same? Admittedly 18 might be a touch young to be paying for it but the reasoning for doing it is still sound.
