That is Apples mantra , howevers , I had all pain no gain.
bought new lap book pro , takes it home , reads everythings about it , load my iworks and then go about opening apps and playing only to have all apps crash.
I took back to Apple store , waited 2 1/2 hrs while genius techy did a restore and reloaded apps just to have it all crash again. This is my first Mac experience and theys all were shocked about whats happening. This is a 3 trip to the store. I must bring box back before they cans do anything , so another appointment another 10 dollar park ticket , another 4 hrs wasted. I pay 3000 plus dollars and own for a week and not work. I can buys a kick ass pc for 1/2 price and get thems to throw in software. I goes back 4th time and manager says they only give me new computer exchange , nothing for inconvienience , not free one on one which i pays 100 $ for or no extra software. I was gentleman and nice she was like a used car sales person. telling me this never happens. but it happen , so keep me as customer and make me happy. NOTHING so i pays a restocking fee and gets my money back.
I know that Macs are cadillac and nice for double the price however the store attitude pisses me off. FUK APPLE !!

Wow, that sucks dude.

Like you said, for 3 grand you can buy or even build a better computer than that.

I have used Macs for 15 years and have always had great experiences. Easy to work with, set up networks and never needed a tech.

I think for those used to PCs there is a learning curve. Easy is hard to get used to:)

Stupid! I don't hell know why people want apple stuff. It's all branded. They completely minimize competition! Therefore, more expensive. No bargain at all! You can only find their products at an authorized Apple store.

With the exception of the iPhone/iPod mac stuff tends to be shit.
You pay a premium for a product that is not better.

If you had bought a lap top at best buy/future shop you could have returned it with no restocking fee or any bull shit.
I know a guy who works at a mac store and he is proud of it at the age of 25 he thinks it's a great job. Fucking brain washed wanker.

With the exception of Ipods, I have only used PC's-don't have a reason to change. They do everything I need 'em to. Right now, I'm using XP pro, Vista Home Premium and windows 7.

Missy, I don't know if I wanna pick your brain, or fuck you senseless!!!

I'm not sure why so many are bashing Macs. I've used PC laptops at work for 13 years ( Toshiba and Dell ) and also have had PC desktops at home and I can tell you that I always had trouble with them. Maybe I've been lucky but the Mac I bought this year has been an absolutely dream ( knock on wood ).

Let me clarify. By Apple products I mean both software and hardware! :) So if I want just the Macintosh operating system only, then I can't buy it in futureshop, london drugs, etc because you need the hardware too!
