Swinging by Victoria soon for the new years and was wondering if there were any luxury hotels you guys would recommend that have a key free elevator ?

Hello Sybis,

Not sure how luxurious of a suite you're seeking, however my last couple of visits to Victoria were comfortable stays.
The Hotel Grand was suitable and clean. I wish my suite was a bit more spacious. Their fitness facility sold me 100%! It was incredible.
My previous stay was at The Inn At Laurel Point. My suite was newer than at the Hotel Grand. My only downside was possible low sound proofing. For SOME reason I received 2 noise complaints at 1am and I refuse to believe I was that loud. Hmmph.
I'm still in search for the perfect hotel for my visits and I too shall follow this thread in hopes it leads me to it.
*Both do not require key card access or lock their main doors past a certain hour.

Happy New Year!

If you don't need to be right downtown, the Oak Bay Beach Hotel is the most luxurious. Their pool... omg. Also no key card :)

Ahhh, I was just out cruising the scenic route and spotted the Oak Bay Beach hotel and it reminded me of your suggestion Mona. I have since Googled to check out the suites and it looks perfect! Will surely book a stay during my next visit.
Happy holidays to all!

The pool is outstanding in the summer!!

I was just at oakbay for the weekend, and as always it had a key card. I enjoy the magnolia and Parkside downtown.

Not that it is relevant to this thread, but as a pooner I NEVER visit a lady staying in hotels. Airbnb, yes but not a hotel room with no laundry facilities.

I'm with Sybris as well and will await clarification.
I just really wanted to add that I snickered at stews comment about "no laundry facility".
I totally see where you're coming from and as a woman who must have my surroundings clean and sanitized, I make sure to always use and dispose of plenty of towels and washclothes if you follow what I'm saying. Those who visit during me while out of town will see my VIM and handy wipes too.

The Laurel beside the inner harbor is great and my usual choice.....the Coast hotel just down from it is also good.
Get a room on the water side and watch the float planes come and go as you sit on the deck with your morning coffee.

I have worked out of the Chateau Victoria and had no problems, although I wouldn't call it a luxury hotel it is clean and the downstairs pub "Clive's lounge" has good reviews.

Good to know, I guess, although I snickered at the VIM. Only because I thought it was an acronym for something fancy. But unless house keeping is switching up your sheets after each naked body, then I'm still concerned. It's a preference for me, as well parallels my concern for privacy. If the hotel staff is giving you oodles of towels, them they know why I'm there. I'm from nanaimo anyway, I'd wait to see you here.

During my recent visit to Victoria, I booked 2 nights at the Oak Bay Beach Resort and WoW!
My suite was absolutely luxurious and spacious. The shower was amazing and perfect for my soapy shower sessions.
And let's not leave out the mineral spas and pool!!
With such a romantic and sexy place to host gentlemen, I was disappointed that once I mentioned it was key card access and I would casually meet them in the lobby, I wasn't able to book the session with a third of my gentlemen.
I would easily choose the Oak Bay Beach Resort as my place to visit, but not if it means the gentlemen are not comfortable or scared to visit me there. :(

I respect those who visit me and I would never have them lay naked where another man has been.
I have a method to my madness and privacy. Housekeeping is unaware of my abundant use and disposal of towels.

I use Oak Bay Beach Hotel all the time as well and highly recommend it. Late night play in around the rocks in the pool and the bump out in the steam room is fun. The rooms have large walk-in showers and large soaker tubs that are good for two. Most rooms have nice furniture that offers up options for those with a creative spirit :) Discrete option to meet in the coffee bar, with it's own separate outdoor entrance, and head up to your room from there.
