Yesterday Lucy was busy in the kitchen again for half a day. She cooked a turkey and it was very successful, even expanding her mind. Lucy didn't see the Butterball Stuffed Turkey when she was shopping this time, so she bought a Butterball Turkey without stuffing, weighing 4.895kg. She read the instructions carefully and it said that this type of turkey needs to be thawed before cooking. It can be cooked without stuffing or with stuffing added.

Lucy once heard from a friend that using bread chunks and onions as filling was great, so this time she used bread chunks, onions, and mushrooms as filling. Because this turkey was not big, it did not require a lot of stuffing.

The oven temperature was set at 325 degrees Fahrenheit, and after 3.5 hours, the turkey made a stunning appearance. Lucy noticed that there was not that much juice in the baking tray, and the color was clear and transparent, which was completely different from the previous baking situations. The previous ones were thick and dark, and could not be used to make Gravy.

After cutting open, there were even more surprises. The meat was super tender and juicy, and even the skin was tender, with a tight fit between the skin and the meat. Not only were there Butterball turkeys, but there were also several Butterball stuffed turkeys which were a bit too big and looked a bit strange in shape, so Lucy didn't buy it. She thought it might be better to wait until Thanksgiving and choose a smaller one to try.

Tracing Lucy's history of knowing turkey, this process was a bit lengthy and full of misunderstandings and biases. When she first arrived in Canada, she saw box of turkey leg at T&T for the first time and was curious, so she bought a box and cook it using Chinese methods. However, it didn't taste good at all. The meat had a hard and dry texture, and had a stale taste, so she never bought it again. Later, she bought roasted turkey several times in T&T's kitchen section, but it tasted not very good. The seasoning was very strong, and the meat was dry and hard.

Later on, she went to some dinner parties and tried roasted turkey a few times. It was said that the turkey was cooked by professionals, so it should be the best one, right? But it still tasted so so, nothing to do with colour, aroma or taste. So Lucy was misled, thinking that turkey was not a delicious food and not suitable for herself and her family. She also didn’t want to spend time on knowing and researching turkey. Now it has been proven that she made a big mistake by not finding the truly best turkey-Butterball turkey.🦃
