Has anyone else watched this? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0403778/

Have been catching bits here and there on OLN and its sooooo fucking cool! I realize that these guys have more money then god but if I were to go across Russia and the Road of Bones I'd also want a healthy bankroll to make sure I could buy my way out of any grief. Anyways, I thought the whole premise of the show was very trick and the Ewan and Charlie actually seem pretty down to earth.

All in all not bad and has made it to the list of DVD's to get. :)

I'm probably in my house.
A damn good example of having the nerve to do something you've only dreamed about. Plus, boy did they have fun when they weren't stuck in Siberian mud! The party with the guns for instance.

Definately one of the better "Reality" shows. Kinda like buying Penthouse. They both show you places you're never gonna visit.

I watched it on dvd last year. Really enjoyed it. It was something different to all the other shows. Plus, both of them seemed really down to earth. I particularly noticed that Ewan's celebrity status really came in handy.

Great show! Though, kind of embarrassing that it was in Canada where Ewan almost got run over by a new driver. lol
Yeah, so from now on, Alberta will be the place where Ewan McGregor was "back-ended".

I haven't had cable for a long time so I'll have to wait for this on dvd.

MacGregor also did a pretty good documentary about the polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba.

I've watched it here and there, cool show for sure. Another cool one on OLN is Survivorman. That guys fukkin awesome when they just dump the simple fukk in the middle of now where.

Got the DVD's last Xmas from my sis. Great shows. Pretty cool the people they meet. Ya the party with the guns was pretty hilarious. There is a book that goes along with it. Goes into a lot more detail on some of the things that the show glosses over.

If you want, you can buy the dvd's at a lot of local bike shops. Not too many video stores carry them.

I think thats one of the reasons I liked the program so much. Neither one seemed full of themselves, weren't afraid to get dirty and genuinely come across as decent guys. Couldn't imagine watching it with some asshole like Tom Cruise as the central character.

Twice I recall.....once on the trans-canada where McGregor was rear ended (lucky the little driver didn't get himself killed) and then Boorman was sideswiped in Calgary.......great way to get showcased

Would be worth it IMO.

Thorougly enjoyed the episodes I saw but missed most of the early ones. This is nitpicking but I thought that after driving the entire Alaska Highway, they might have got a shot of them at the Mile Zero sign post in Dawson Creek?

I read that they are planning a second documentary, "The Long Way Down" for 2007. From John o' Groats at the northern tip of Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa.

Starting Wednesday night on OLN, there's a seven part series on Charley Boorman's run at the 2006 Dakar Rally. It's on at 6:00 and 10:00 Pacific.
