I think what it could be other than the market is a lot of fear regarding the sting operations in the Prairie provinces & the uncertainty of navigating that fear. I know with me, though I was curious, I was too scared of offering my services in Winnipeg because of the sting operations I learned about through hearSay.
I was only brave to come to Winnipeg earlier last year (2025) because I privately messaged some industry babes before flying, who are active in the Winnipeg scene. These kind souls reassured me most of the sting operations in Winnipeg target johns & not providers.
I had a big meltDown my last tour in Winnipeg last Sept 2025 when I booked a short-term rental (that is not an incall from another provider)
& the fear mongering targeting industry babes plastered on the walls of the rental.
😢I lost💸coz my stress hormones went through the roof😆and I panic booked hotels when I saw these posters, tried cancelling these panic booked hotels, that were non-refundable🥵🙈
I learned eventually its required in Manitoba to put these fear mongering posters to shoo us industry babes away😢 It was a very expensive lesson for me😩🫣
Why are women named 'Joy' so joyless? Joy Smith and Joy Behar from the The View come to mind.
