He is not all that good, very streaky. The first half against the Raptors, he had 8 turnovers. They lost that game, the Knicks didn't win it, they had a total defensive collapse in the 4th quarter. Ask me again in 30 more games if he's the real deal. Right now, he's a fad, a flash in the pan.
He isn't streaky, he consistently turns the ball over...
Over his first 5 NBA starts he leads 2 categories ALL TIME
#1 Most points over first 5 starts (yes he is even ahead of SHAQ on that curve)
#2 Most turnovers over first 5 starts

Though I agree with your assessment that we need to wait and see what happens in 5 more 10 more 20 more games.

I realized that too, terrible turnovers, but the last 3 point throw sealed the deal.
All you want is a win. he did it.
hope it continues.

Probably he was a bit tired after 5 games before playing Toronto.
now he must be exhausted, it is difficult to keep competition levels if you are tired.

unbelievable....It is not often to see an Asian American player in NBA. Great for the fans!
He is the first Asian American starter in the NBA ever since they have been keeping starting records... so ya not often is an understatement. :)

http://espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/mia...stra-lebron-james-impressed-jeremy-lin-ascent
" Spoelstra expressed a measure of pride on Sunday over what Lin has accomplished as the first Asian-American to start an NBA game since the league began keeping records of starting lineups decades ago."

The second last basket was fearless, but was nothing compared to what happened next. The pressure must have been enormous at less than a minute left and tied.

That last score was truly amazing with less than a minute left. He was really in control, set everyone up, etc., and coolly put it in.

I am just happy for the guy. He has been playing well while staying humble in NBA!

I admire Point Guards in the NBA, do you know how freaking awesome your hand eye coordination has to be at that level? And the fitness, their bodies are a machine.

As someone who actually balls. I must say the kid is doing good now and i have watched every game he has played in. It's a great story for now, please don't base his play against the Lakers. Their guards are old, if you want to see if he is for real. Wait until he has to play against Darren Williams, Jenning, Paul or Westbrook and the bigger faster guards. It has only been 7 games.

Of course everyone would love to see a Cinderella story like Lin. Just remember even Cinderella's time ran out at some point. Before you go calling this guy the real deal give it some time. If all else fails at least he can fall back on his education, who doesn't need a good accountant.

Bottom line is, he has the tools to be a dependable point guard. Sure the story is getting blown way out of proportion but it's New York. There's no reason the dude can't have a good career....there has been many, many, many more who had less talent and made way more money. Check out how much the dudes on the Grizzlies bench made that never saw the floor and they were sh*t!
Yups! Its New York, the BIG Apple. Things do happen for a reason. It wouldn't have been the same in Houston or Golden State.

PS....I'm sure many of us are or were ballers too ;)

He has played 7 games, if you can see his tools that soon I'm call you Nostradamus. Like i said wait until he plays a complete season. Stop focusing so much on the press and focus on the fact he's averaging 6 turn overs a game. This coming against all teams with a losing record. I hope he does well everyone likes a true underdog story. Right now the press is setting this kid up for failure.

All the other guards in the league are reviewing tape and mock my words will shut him down. The best part about his story is he is very humble and puts team above individual achievements.

P.S. Don't get your panties in a bunch hunka, you might have some ball skills. LOL.

http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2012/02/15/my-take-the-real-miracle-of-jeremy-lin/

See what happens when you believe in Jesus? You become a basketball star. Just goes to show Jesus is working in our lives if you let him in. Jeremy Lin is God's miracle. That's why a puny short greasy little asian kid is such a hero when he doesn't deserve to be, next to all the real (and black and sometimes white) men standing beside him. I mean, just read what a lot of people are saying here: a lucky streak. No my friends, a miracle from the Almighty himself.

Hallelujah praise the Lord.

Being from Harvard, its not surprising that one of the first things Jeremy Lin did when the Lin-sanity media tsunami started was to hire a known literary agent. Probably the last thing in Floyd Mayweather's mind. LOL!! Lin did hire Richard Abate formerly of Endeavor. This guy is as connected, as hungry, and as nasty as the fictional Ari Gold. Abate got Tina Fey $ 6 Million for her book. I foresee a book entitled " Lin-sanity " in the NY Times Bestseller List before yearend.

Of course, Ari Gold Rocks!!! Too bad HBO's Entourage was recently just in its last and final season. Looking forward to the movie. It should be noted though that Ari Gold's character was inspired by real life Top Agent Ari Emmanuel who founded Endeavor which is now merged with William Morris.

Lin played well even though the team lost. He will learn not to turn the ball over.

Let's hope so, he's tied for the highest number in the NBA. That's awful and basically he lost the game to the Hornets tonight. They're all going to blame him so Linsanity is over I think. His greatest weakness exposed is a good thing.

He played a lot better against Dallas today with 28 points, 14 assists, and 7 TOs.
