Just bought a new Piaggio Fly50 motorscooter. It's the first good thing to happen to me in a long time. After my bypass surgery last year (plus my accident, financial crisis, and upcoming defibrilator implant) I've really needed something to brighten my spirits.

You got a scooter just in time with gas prices like they are. Vancouver spring summer are made for scooters. Probably better than Motorcycles since traffic is such a bitch.

Have a blast but for fucks sake keep your head up! I've scraped too many friends of the road. My mom bought a Honda Ruckus 50 last summer (that fucker is way too much fun - I steal it as much as I can) and my brothers and I replaced the pipsqueak horn with the loudest one the alternator could handle. She says the difference is night and day, regarding how car drivers know she's there or not.

*Just have to add, my moms been riding since she was a kid. She's been through 6 or 7 bikes, the biggest of which was a Shadow 600. She's shrunk significantly in the last ten years (60 to 70 years old) yet still has tremendous skills on a bike.

Thank you, so much, for your support, my friends. At my age (61), scootering is about the only fun thing I do anymore (and pooning of course). I bought a Piaggio Fly50. It is so cool looking.

Don't sell it ride till you die! I had a Piaggio once, I had more fun on it than words can describe.
I know an old WW2 vet, he is 70 sumthin and he turns into a kid every summer day he fires it up, he rode it from Burnaby to Birch Bay last summer...

Way Cool
