Whichever one you decide to go with, just know you're lucky you don't have my car lol ...shes a little bitch..a smart little bitch to be precise. She knows if she keeps draining my wallet with repair bills I'll never be able to afford to replace her...:frusty:
Lol.....I have known your pain!

So, apl16, please let me know in what area of the lower mainland you indulge in your ego boosting street racing with your colleagues, so I can avoid that area for fear of getting hit by a reckless, "I own the fucking road, buddy", driver..:fear:

It's nice to read that you are particular about maintenance --- you're obviously not too particular about the safety of other drivers.

And about your 'guts',----- are you talking about lack of fear, --- or your body's shape because of too much beer.??..
If you must know, one can test a vehicles performance in some relatively safe areas and on out of public tracks. Usually, without breaking any laws. Acceleration, handling, skill and knowlng you and your car's capabilities. I rarely drink. Have no gut and a perfect driving record. If you don't want performance cars on the road, lobby your legislators. 95% of people on the road don't know how to drive. It is too easy to get a driver's license. I would love to volunteer as a traffic cop one day a week. I'm starting to believe that signal lights are becoming an option on new cars, so few people use them.
I would love it if a person had to take a special driving before being allowed to own a performance vehicle. I'm seeing way too many high performance cars with Ns on their back window!

Haha...If they had that rule in Richmond there would (pretty much) be no cars left on the road!!
Lol.....can't really comment on that, Tanya. Rarely venture out to Richmond. I also get kinda twitchy there since a buddy got snuffed by gangbangers out there about a decade ago. Always feel the anger rise when the cops say " just a targeted shooting" after a shooting. No worries. They are just shooting each other. BULLSHIT!!!
Sorry. Off topic rant. The look on his ladies face. Trying to find the right words to comfort her. The pictures in my mind of his bullet ridden truck.

Fuck!

So, apl16, now, in your failed attempt at back peddling, you're trying to tell me that you are testing your Lexus's performance out on a public tracks, and that's where you're still blowing away many of your colleagues with beemers. Surprised that you never said a word about that in your post #12. ---- attached below.
I would think that after owning that $10K Legendary Lexus 4.0L V8 for a number of years, you would know it's performance capability by heart.

I agree. There is a difference. I still blow away many of my colleagues with beemers because my Lexus has a very wide power and. I'm a better driver. And, I have more guts than these younger guys. It really drives them crazy when my $10k Lexus smokes their $70k BMW. Older, wiser, and particular about maintenance.
And where did I say that I don't want performance cars on the road in my attached post below?? --- I don't mind them at all, --- what I do mind are some of the idiot drivers that operate those performance cars. Hardly a week goes by without hearing about some idiot racing his high performance car against another idiot --- then loosing control and wiping out, sometimes taking with them an innocent driver or pedestrian.
So, apl16, keep enjoying the "smoking of all those $70K beemers" , just hope that you don't make the news one evening.

I am a pretty experienced driver but have to admit I learned a hell of a lot from a few courses I have paid for and attended over the years. Winter driving skills, Defensive driving skills and high speed avoidance skills. The vehicles were varied i.e. MB's BMW's, couple of Porches, 700 HP Mustang and a few high performance yet street legal sports cars. Taking this knowledge and doing some track time further helped my driving skills. Really pushing a vehicle to its limit and not hitting a wall does get the old adrenaline going.

Any of these rich kids driving high end cars with "N's" on them should be forced to take similar courses. Way too much power for too little skills IMHO

^^ Ford Escort...I know my repairs should be cheap..but Fords hate me for some reason..last one I owned was a total nightmare..I named her Christine after the Stephen King movie..I ended up just leaving Christine on the side of the road in Winnipeg...

Just one look at my car..you can tell its trouble lol

I shouldn't complain cause it was pretty much gifted to me..(more like a curse tho)

The guy who gave it to me lost his licence before going away to Italy for a few months..first he was just going to lend it to me, after I got it he decided he didn't want it back...now I'm not surprised :pound:
Thanks for letting me know the brand. I wasn't expecting you to let me know the model also but it gave me a chuckle! :D
