I heard that there is a strong rumour going around once more, that they will reform next year. With jason Bonham as drummer.

I think this comes out every six months or so.

HHHMMM The police have done it and no one expected that right!!!

I would give up pooning for six months to see that.

What would you give up ??????

Saw Page and Plant last time they blew through here. While I love JPJ, I'm not sure it would be much of a better show than page and plant was (which was pretty good). Bonham is dead so it's never going to be 100% zep anyway. Another 10 years have gone by since that last show and I'd think the performance might decline a bit.

I guess I'm not one to really love going to be big concerts as they are a bit ridiculous, so I'll take a session at the Fox Den any day over the concert (I've still pooned far less than I have gone to concerts). However, if I could see zep or any other act I like in a small club or I could jam with them that would be a totally different story.

These guys are just way too old. Zep was wonderful in an ancient time, but today that music is out of context. Reminds me of when I saw Ozzy and Black Sabbath. While I enjoyed the music, reminding me of my childhood, I couldn't help but feel ridiculous, especially since at the same time my 19 year old female friend made a special point of going to the gig to hang out with me. I had more fun watching the other act: Rob Zombie. Same kind of music, but updated for today. It was super cool.

I heard that rumour too. A few months back on the Radio. AC DC is also rumored to be touring soon. I missed them 3 times. This time though... This time...

Seen Robert Plant in 05' ( Second Row!!!!!!), He's still got it, high notes aside. Good show.

He reminded me of the Droopy Dog from the cartoons. You know, "Going up, Sir..." ( :D )

I'd give up smoking to see that. Cigarettes, of course.

I would go see them if they only did the classics. I'm not interested in any new material.
On the subject of updating, I saw the White Stripes at Deer Lake Park on Sunday (first time I've seen them live). Jack White's style is very close to Robert Plant (without the rock god personna, of course, since he's a very ordinary looking guy.)
Their last 4 albums all follow the pattern of 1 or 2 hard rocking singles (which were something to see them perform, as there's only 2 band members). The rest of the tracks allow them to hone their skills with Zep style country-blues (this is where White most closely sounds like Plant).
The concert was only 90 minutes, but they packed everything they could into the short time, doing all the expected hits (and finally using the mirrorball for the encore.)

Old and Useless...

Keep these fading rock stars in retirement...seeing Axel trying to make a come back the last 10 yrs was sad enough... Quit and stay quit LZ!

they are rock and roll gods..virtuoso guitar playing...
best voice ever. they are not the zep of days gone by.
even this incarnation of zep is better than anything out
there today. gotta love these guys for the music that
they have made. professional and class all the way.

LOL!!! Well Well.

As we all know now it came true.

From what I hear the show was really good. Now I just have to wait for the DVD to show up.

We are all waiting to hear if they will tour. I have to admit I have mixed feelings about that. Are they just milking it?
Are they doing it for the music?
Do they need the money??

Is this the thing to do now. Reform your old band from 20 years ago.
The Police seem to have pulled it off.
As for the Spice Girls who knows.
The Eagles just put out new songs.

Yes, I would kill to see Zep here. At $300 or so would it be worth it?

Okay, So when do Paul & Ringo do something?

What about the Beach boys? HHMMMM..
