Of course we're normal. I pack my work bag in the morning just like anyone in the corporate world does, but instead of files and paperwork next to my laptop I have lingerie and my hair straightener. My tools of the trade.

We're making a living just like anyone else, and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to have chosen this rather than being pushed into what society would have deemed a "respectable" career which would have just left me miserable and bitter.

Personally when I am working I am often sitting in front of my computer, checking emails, writing new ads, updating my website, communicating via text and voice....

So, pray tell, what does your customer/client do while you do all that while working ?????

Does he just sit there and watch you, and maybe indulge in some self administered sex???

Sorry Evangeline Grace, but I probably won't be calling you, 'cause it would really be a mood killer watching you write new ads, while you're ignoring me, who just replied to your last ad.

But then again, I realize that there is no guarantee that you would even agree to see me.

You, young lady, certainly misunderstood my humorous sarcasm, or my sarcastic humor.

I did not misunderstand you at all, EG, I knew exactly that you were talking about the work required to be a success in this hobby/business.My crazy sense of humor just couldn't resist to tease about that line that you wrote to outline all your tasks.

I hope you noticed the "Keep smiling" at the end of my comments, which meant that I was hoping you were already smiling due to my post.

Ahem ... Getting back to the topic and the article ... There are echoes of another thread where the 'sunset of the industry' is predicted and there is a sense of defeat in the face of C-36. My hope - and I may be naive - is that independent SPs and their clients can continue to enjoy every element that works today. I'm new to the hobby, so there are gaps in my knowledge - full disclosure. My adventures have been with smart, capable and careful business women who set and meet (to my great pleasure) what the expectations are.

I would have to be naive to think that abuse doesn't happen.

I know that when I first spent time with an SP, my radar was on full alert (no pun intended) trying to decide if I was becoming a part of a bigger problem. Today, I would say that the linked article is pretty well aligned with how I think and operate. There are bad customers and bad suppliers in any business. In this business, people can get hurt and worse. I believe that there is still room for consenting adults to connect, even if it is a commercial transaction.

I try and focus on the very good times I have had with SPs, but at the same time, keep my eyes open.

My $0.02. Rounded down, of course.

I will be sticking with the ladies I know for the foreseeable future.
They know what I like and deliver every time, and I know what they expect.
No need for any negotiations or paper trail.
