Appears to be a work of fiction. There's no street called 'The Kingsway'. Stories like this appear frequently, with the escort being a wife, or daughter.

No one in Vancouver or Burnaby refers to Kingsway as the "The Kingsway". Plus the street sign is not from Vancouver or Burnaby. Why didn't the article name the business? Sounds like the author watching The Client once too many.
