King Kong movie strange feeling.

Just saw King Kong. Met the high expectations except for one: where were the crowds? Saw it in Richmond, yes it was a only a Wednesday opening, but it was still sparsely attended.

One of the most memorable scenes was the extended gorilla versus three T-rexes. It was quite funny how they were able to stretch it for so long to fill screen time.

Also noticed that those were some big and creepy bugs.

These big blockbusters open in so many more theaters than they used to that you don't get the full houses except maybe at the first midnight shows on wednesday I'm sure the weekend will be more full. I thought they overdid it with all the bugs and those uncircumcised dick monsters

I'm probably not giving it a fair shake, but I'll bet that a lot of people will have the same attitude that I do... seen it done it. It's a remake of a remake of a remake... I just don't have any empathy for the big gorilla and I know how the story is going to end. If they tried to be clever and change the ending then I'm just gonna be pissed off for messing with the original story line.

Of course I'm also the same bastard that didn't see Titanic cause I knew the boat was going to sink anyways...

Dude - you did not miss anything by passing over Titanic. I only went to see it because it had the word tit in the title. That was the high point.

Not sure about you guys, but I'm fuckin' remake'd out.
Nothing original comes out of Hollywood anymore. This is the same old story as the last remake, with some CGI thrown in. I would have expected more from Peter Jackson. He should have pushed the envelope a bit more and tackled something like Kong vs. Godzilla.

Didn't Kate Winslet show her bush in Titanic, or was that another movie??

She showed her bush in Holy Smoke when she seduced Harvey Keitel. She is quite voluptuous.

She also showed her bush in Jude the Obscure, but you might want to skip that as that is quite the full frontal birth scene.

Titanic and Kong both have been done before, buth with Titanic you can get tons of screaming teenage girls to go gaga over the skinny Leonardo DiCaprio, and he can actually get lots of dialogue back with Kate Winslet.

Maybe that was a source of the reason behind the disappointing audience for King Kong. The ape isn't a chic magnet and can't talk back with Naomi Watts.

I don't want to give any spoilers away; another funny scene is when the machinegunner kept yelling at Adrien Brody to hold still while holding that giant three foot cockroach thing in front of his face.

Despite all the machinegunning of all those cockroaches, there was very little cockroach juice splattered on the actors. Nothing like going over the top, could have called it the Cockroach Massacre.

Kate's bush

I think there is also a glimps of Kate's bush in 'Iris', the bio-pic about Iris Murdoc in which Winslet plays the young Murdoc.

Speaking of Kate's bush...I would love to catch a glimpse of Kate Bush' bush!

Personally, i thought Titanic was one of the worst films I've ever seen. When you keep waiting and hoping for the film to end, there's something wrong.
