Kesler wants out of Vancouver

So trade deadline is fast approaching and a reporter out of Quebec is saying Kesler wants too be traded. Rumours are that he's crap in the dressing room and he tends to be injury prone , but when he's healthy he can be a game changer.
Just wondering if the Canucks are sellers or buyers this year?Personally, I think this team has reached it's best before date.

I won't believe a rumour until it's verified - Dunno why he wants out. He's playing the most minutes of any Canuck ( and maybe the most minutes of any NHL'er) and playing with line mates that are are solid playmakers. Unless there are personal issues or issues at home, from a pure hockey standpoint he's got a good thing going.

yep, anything can happen. Since 1971, anything can happen.

Trade the bum for a case of beer and get rid of his contract = $5m cap hit yearly

time to rebuild, again. This time try to build a team for the NHL and not the Swedish elite league

$5M Cap hit.

Hmmm, Kes has a pretty sweet deal here

Face it the Nucks are done with this crew of Veterans. Time to get out the broom starting with the GM and Coach.

Get rid of Mike Gillis ! the Canucks will never be anything with him driving the boat !
If he did nothing since he got here we would be a better team.

Yes Trade Kesler ! should have traded him after the 2010 games !

Actions speak louder than words ...... played thru the Olympics with an injury significant enough to be off indefinitely as soon as he is back in the NHL and knowing the position the team is in.

Gillis is a shitty GM - hands out no-trade clauses like candy and now has a bunch of expensive dinosaurs on his hands that nobody wants to deal with.

say it ain't so!

I like RK.
a player that always puts his best effort, hurt or otherwise.
I've never questioned his heart or work ethic, unfortunately he hasn't produced
goals lately and that will always be the first thing in the minds of management and fans.

if he does go, I wish him the best. maybe a new team will rejuvenate the guy.

my guess is as good as anyone's, but something tells me Philly will be his new home come March 5.

so, who does the Canucks acquire or trade come March 5?
and to say 'trade the whole team' is just annoying. be diplomatic with your thoughts here.

or do we write the season off and start planning for the future?

they could still make the playoffs to save face. however, I don't see them
getting out of Round 1 if they do make it in. the bigger teams are just going to wear or push
the team around (given what the refs allow in playoff past).

of course management will be happy even if they make it in Round 1, for pure financial reasons.
it's not about winning the Cup but fattening the bottom line. sad!

anyone going to Heritage Classic on Sunday?

a good buddy of mine invited me. unfortunately, it's waaaay up there. but who cares?
I'm in it to experience the event more than anything.

enjoy the game.

So it's a fact that Kesler is going through a divorce...but has anyone heard the rumour that he was dinking Cory Schneider's g/f last spring? That's one of the reasons Cory wanted out of town, and the reason why there must be something going on in the Canuck dressing room......We have no one playing in the upswing of their careers, NO One.

Well said and correct on every point.

The Aquilinis have no background or knowledge of hockey and gawd knows who they're getting their advice from, but they now have the wprst GM and coach the team could possibly have and the results of their idiocy will be felt for a long time.

Get ready to watch paint dry and no playoffs for a few more years.
