Has something happened with Windows and Kazaa lately? Whenever I try to download anything, when I try to open it, I get a message telling me that there is somethng wrong with the rights management or license thingy. Basically, its made Kazaa useless.

Limewire

I had been using Limewire and while I felt it was effective, it also ended up blowing up my computer, figuratively not literally. File sharing is very dangerous, and when that type of software is running, you are wide open to everyone. Just a word of warning from someone who got badly burned.

I tried Bearware and my computer refused to load it. I even tried deleting and re-installing Kazaa and again my computer refused to install it. I got a message that said that it was having difficulty with the "certificate" thingy.

kazaa lite

I've used kazaa lite for years and never had a problem. Unlike the newer versions of kazaa it doesn't include all the spyware crap. If interested you can now download it under the name kazaa resurrection. I've heard it works fine, but I can't verify the resurrection version personally.

I would recommend Shareaza as well.

There's no spyware (I scanned before and after installation and could not find anything) and can connect to up to 4 separate Peer-to-Peer networks, (EDonkey2000, Gnutella, BitTorrent and Gnutella2).

I don't think I am making myself clear. I have been trying to download all these Peer-to-Peer programs. Everytime I try to install, I am getting a message that there is a problem with a certificate or something. Has microsoft included something with there last update that blocks download sites?

Yeah, I think I may have. How would I know if I did and how would I remove it?

I miss the original, Napster. Never had any problems with it at all.

Ok....I think I figured it out. Microsoft Explorer is blocking me being able to download and install Kazaa, Bearshare, etc. However, I was able to use Firefox to load WinMX

Just change your security settings. Anytime you get a message from windows just copy it and google and you'll find out what the problem is in about 2 minutes.
