I was doing some research today on municipal bylaws and came across karoke box rooms mixed in with bylaws on MPs' and escorts. Okay I just fell of the turnip truck. Are these rental by the hour etc.......What is in the rooms? Are there ladies available at these Karaoke's?

There are Karaoke Lounges that have PR girls. You are given the opportunity to choose a girl she drinks, mingles, and sings with you inside a karaoke room. Sex is prohibited in the rooms. As for most the girls if you pay them, they will agree to go elsewhere such as a hotel to provde extras.
Yes it's rented by the hour. Try Tokyo Lounge or one on West Broadway. Althought I don't remember the name. There are a few of these places. Mostly known to asians. Personally I find these places more entertaining & fun if you go with a group of your friends. Hope that info was of some help.

I went to a place in Richmond last Sept. I went with a gf & another couple. They did not have any PR girls there but the whole time I was there I kept thinking this would be a good place to get a quickie as no one looked in unless we ordered drinks.
There are some karaoke clubs which provide hostesses and drinks as well. I know a couple of them:
1. Hollywoood North located on Seymour in front of the Capitol 6 movie theatre. They have some Japanese hostesses and you can ask the mamasan if there is one particular girl that you like to sit and drink with you.
2. Tokyo Lounge theyre located on the second floor on Burrard street near the duty free shop.
3. I think there's also one on West Broadway near Broadway Bodycare but I think they only take mostly asian clients.
