The ACTUAL topic was supposed to be about yet another Justin international gaffe, not a personal diatribe on one posters perception of what consititutes racism and rather than subject thread readers to an ongoing condescending pedantic harangue/interrogation of the OP why not just state your own views in the first place

Exactly. Why not just state ones own views. That is my point. OP simply could state a gaffe as being incompetence, but that's not what was originally posted. Adding a question about race doesn't really, in my opinion, states ones view on the gaffe. Maybe it was a rhetorical question, but certainly not a question intended to show/prove a gaffe as being incompetence.
