Why couldn't they come up with a breathalyzer that would detect the virus....just like they have for alcool ........

These are under development and will surely be a game changer. I’d personally pay more than I’m will to admit for a highly accurate device. Lots of progress being made with training sniffer dogs too.
I don't think dogs smelling people's crotches for Covid 19 is a very practical approach to detection.
Can you imagine going to see a service provider and instead of a temperature check, the door opens and some bitch does a scrotum check instead? Nose planted and saying "OK you pass my sniff test but unfortunately only Doggy is on the menu today. That ballz sack seemed a bit hot and unless you want a muzzle on your face the mission is off." That a Boy!
African pouch rats have been trained to detect tuberculosis on breath. They are apparently more accurate than devices designed to detect it, so I see no resaon why dogs couldn't be as effective with Covid. Training would probably be faster than inventing and testing devices.
They do have the 15 minute test strip for HIV which you can buy in the US together with the drug testing kits. It is easy to use.
As about an SP lying about her age, it will happen the same day there is a test to tell if guys are lying about the size of their penis! ???
