some days i get in a reflective mood
Thinking about all the things we just take for granted.
car/motorcycle engines. hundreds of parts all whirring around. up down. 1000's of RPM ..sheesh some bikes have redlines at 12000rpm... thats 200x per second the pistons go up down, valves open and close..sparkplugs fire...boggles that this stuff even works for 10min and not blow itself apart let alone last for years and 1000's of km.
it was only just 100yrs ago that humans started to fly. now we think nothing of it to fly in a huge ass jumbo jet half way around the world .. The space shuttle is so routine now it is barely news.
so many things in this world we just take for granted now when if you really think about it they are almost magical.
i guess its that i see so many people complain about silly things when maybe the should be thankful for what they have. Like standing in checkout of supermarket complaining it is taking too long...umm, you are surrounded by a midas bounty of food items...something many in the 3rd world would love just a 10th of....you sleep in a warm bed in a nice home. clean running water. hot showers any time you want. even most of our poorest citizens are rich compared to much of the world.
ok, i think i am done now.
