Hi
I m just doing some project on face memories etc.
My question is for respected SPs or anyone really.
If you saw a client,3-4 years ago for only an hour or half hour, no contact after that, do you remember their faces?
Do SPs remember the faces of their one time only clients?

I debated on whether to answer this question because I don't want to come across as cold or detached, but honestly, no. If I saw you for a half hour 3-4 years ago I would not remember you. Maybe if your head was half shaved or you had a tattoo on your face I would. But it makes it really awkward when that guy you've only seen once asks you , " do you remember me". I always say yes!

Some people are just not memorable unless they really stand out with some unique characteristics.

Some ladies that I have seen in the business a few years back I would never remember them if I seen them in public or in an appointment.

I'm better with faces than names/emails from past clients who contact me, but most likely not. That's the same for acquaintances in my civie life as well.

I've been getting re-acquainted with clients from 7 years ago since my return 2 months ago into the industry, and I would say I remember 50% of the faces.

Gonna say no. why, because sp/women change their hair, wear different clothes, and glasses.
But I am more likely to remember how an sp from 4 years ago then an sp to remember me, due to the numbers game. I seen the sp once, where I could be any number of guys to the sp....

Although some people have excellent memory recall.

Nice! But the 50% faces you remember, are those clients included that visited you only once or twice for half hour or so?

There's a specific part of the brain, the FFA, that specializes in facial recognition. Some people suffer from prosopagnosia, a difficulty in recognizing faces but the rest of their visual and memory processes are otherwise normal.

My brain has a strong sense for memorizing faces and locations. I am able to recognize a person from my past within that time span. And without too much physical change.
My sense of visual direction is pretty on point as well.
However, I lack with numbers and names. Which in this industry doesn't matter, as folks change their names and contact info when the circumstance arises.

Mind if I ask you to elaborate on the "etc'' part? I am genuinely curious. Human memory is a fascinating topic.

Check your closet..:)
When I go to the second part of the test I get “page not found” :(

But I’ve done similar tests in previous cognitive & forensic psych classes.
Sorry to hear you couldn't finish it...:(

I’m pretty good at remembering faces. Sometimes it takes awhile to figure it out, but there’s usually some faint neuron sparking away immediately when I see someone that I may have met long ago. The meeting would have to have something memorable about it, and having sex with them for an hour certainly qualifies. Putting a name to the face is not as successful though.

This question is almost like asking do you expect your SP to get an orgasm. Same answer — you can hope but do not expect that they do.

If you happened to have a deeper level of connection with the SP, she would have a better to reach orgasm and also remember you at the same time.

Asking her whether she still remembers you from more than a year ago is also like asking whether she has had an orgasm. You’d most likely hear the answer you want to hear but only she really knows the truth.

I guess it would vary from person to person. Some people have something about that might stand out to the SP. Funny thing is when I bought my first place I signed all my paper work with a particular notary. Years later I upgraded and by coincidence went to that same notary, who had become a lawyer by then, and had his own law office. I didn't recognize him, where he recognized me. In another instant I traveled to Puerto Vallarta, stayed at a hotel, and there was a server who'd serve my table daily at one of the restaurants, we chatted quite a bit, and found him to be one of the most enthusiastic people there. I went back to the same hotel a couple of years later, and he didn't remember me at all.
