It looks like JJ didn't like being outted as a slimeball he really is. Not a word since a SP reported his phoney MD and his BO and mattress on the floor.I would think this will knock him off his high horse. He is back to his real life as a closet troll. What next, a new nic , maybe a policeman, fireman, indian chef. It should be interesting.

Not sorry to see him give it a rest. I wonder if he has other handles like salty said.

Well those who insist you enjoy drama are obviously right.

I don't know what good it does to "out" someone. Even if the persona someone wishes to project is completely false, so what? Why would anyone care enough to make it an issue?

I just don't understand the mindset to this whole "outing issue"

And personally I enjoyed reading JJ's comments, I never agreed with many of them but so what, at least he presented his opinions in an intelligent manner.
You Know.....you're right. Agree or not JJ was thought provoking, but sometimes he could be abrasive - and that's ok to a degree.

JJ has been posting on the other board.

I've got him on ignore, without actually pushing the ignore button.
Whenever I see one of his boring one-dimensional political/racist rants, it's time to skip over the thread.
If internet forums existed in the late 1930's, he'd be right at home on the Master Race/Lebensraum board.

Actually, anyone who posts on an escort review board outside of the Review, Advertising, 411 and Neighbourhood Watch sections are drawn to and contribute to the drama. What is the lounge for?

however

I agree with Ropey. I didn't think JJ was all bad.
Ropey said:
I enjoyed all of his comments that were creative discussion and debate.

I very much disliked his method of belittlement and personal attack when he supported his comments. This let to other attacking back and led away from proper discussion.

Gone or not, all I would like to see is him quit this practice and move on to his very useful and informative information and opinion. It is too bad that is not yet able to separate the two.

would just like to clarify

Hi Salty here. I just want to say that my intention wasn't to out jj, and whatever his other handles are. I mainly posted out of frustration and even pity for him, and I also get angry whenever someone lies so much that they think they can get away with it because he thinks escorts are stupid. I mean, I of course fib to a certain extent during the course of my profession as I expect and respect the fact that my clients do too-fake names, fake marital status, glossed over personal history, etc. It's to be expected and accepted. But I was just really alarmed over the telling of extremely personal info about other escorts (plus a few clients) to someone he had just met; or it might have been made up, but still, that's just as scary. What if I had a personal grudge against any of these ladies (which I don't) and decided to sink really low and use it? I never would, but maybe someone else would. So I hope I didn't sound too mean in my post, but he was attacking people, and in my opinion just telling outright falsehoods, and when someone believes his own made up persona and beliefs so much that he can't see when he's being hypocrital and contradicting himself, someone's just gotta step in and say "physician, heal thyself". I'm from the old school of Tough Love, and I don't enable people with personality disorders; they can't be cured (although mental illness can), so sometimes you just have to try and move them along. He'll probably wait awhile, create another handle or try to create a persona where he's an actual escort/indy. In the meantime, he's taken up enough of my time. I'm gonna try and stay on more casual topics, I'm not here to be an 'Outer Crusader'.

For those of you who think I helped, thanks so much. I know everyone won't agree with me, but there is a huge weight off my chest...and I don't mean that I had a breast reduction. :D Salty

Its not about outting anyone. I got vibes about JJ from start. Most longtime posters here are who they are. I think it would be real hard to act someone you're not for very long. JJ was a member for a couple of years with no posts, then floods of posts. I suggest that PERB has overloaded his brain, trying to be a md, lawyer, judge, got to be too much for him. I guess he googled himself to la la land

You know, "out" was the wrong way to describe it. I should've have said and posted "knock him off his pedestal" or "put him in his place" to describe what had occurred. I'm sorry.

You see, I can admit to making a mistake. ;)

He is an MD, but a specialized one which I am not going to say more about in front of witch hunters. I've personally quizzed him about medical stuff many many times, to satisfy my own curiosity about many medical topics, and I have yet to stump him or catch him in a lie.
Your intelligent post compels me to state the following. It is in no way a reflection upon you, but on the average population on this board.

I don't know why people on this board get up in arms about someone who makes claims over the internet about their profession, experiences, or knowledge. None of this can be verified to any degree of certainty. To make assumptions about anyone's profession, experiences or knowledge is to show yourself to be very foolish. I also find that people on this board tend to get even more critical when the profession in question is one that is usually highly valued. When someone says that they are an M.D., for example, it does not take very long before somebody else jumps down their throat at the very hint of anything remotely negative either in opinion, advice, or whatever. I would hazard a guess that this behaviour is more akin to low self esteem.

When someone makes claims about their profession or experiences or knowledge, it matters not whether it is true or false in the context of internet posts. After all, one would be irrational to accept legal or medical advice from persons hiding behind handles on the internet. As the veracity of claims can not be ascertained, know then that one's credentials and one's accreditations are two different things. Just because one makes claims (or actually is) of being accredited does not mean they have the credentials to back it. So if JJ said he is an MD and then spoke ignorantly about that field, you would expect the accreditation to be meaningless as his credentials do not merit it. It is true of the internet as it is true in real life: there are many completely worthless doctors, lawyers, nurses, PhDs, mechanics, etc.

I do not care if JJ is an MD or not. But I did take notice that subtle ways of thinking that people in the medical profession would have, he had, and that they correlated with real life medical professionals I have known. His claimed accreditation I cared not for; but he did successfully show to me he had some credentials and perhaps more.

Many people are quick to dismiss attempts by users such as JJ to educate others about their field of expertise. There is only one word for such behaviour, and that is "Ignorance". Unfortunately, there are a lot of ignoramuses on this board. They contribute to the low quality and worthlessness of discussions here and anywhere else.

My personal bias thus about his apparent arrogance is that it is justified. A diamond has the right to shine brightly among coals.

...I have to say there is very little truth to what I read on that other board...
What does "that other board" have to do with anything? Saltypopsicle made her post about JJ early yesterday morning right here on PERB. The only reason this drama is even on the other board is because CLM copied salty's diatribe here and pasted it with undisguised glee onto the other board 12 minutes later. People there are less prone to jumping on JJ, even though I'm sure most find him annoying.

I'm no fan of JJ either (I find him arrogant and dogmatic to the point of absurdity). However, let's not forget that saltypopsicle is a newbie to this board whose first few posts have contained a lot of nastiness, including disparaging remarks about athaire. He is well-respected by pooners and SPs alike. Pardon the pun, but I take her posts with a huge grain of salt. If a newbie had appeared here and attacked another prominent member who was well-liked, s(he) would have been labelled a troll immediately.

GBM a diamond in the rough looks like shit. Its only when it is skillfully worked does it become a treasure. Some ppl never are polished but the raw value is there. Lots of people don't know the diffrence between zircon and a diamond in the coal. One is a fake and most ppl can't tell, and are easy to fool at lots of things like that. Most real MDs are far from subtle, the ones I dived with were not.
