Jazz Festival-Saskatoon

Not a pooning thread and we don't have a Sk lounge.
Has anyone checked out any of the venues yet? I would
have loved to see Mike Franti. Not only for his music, but
he would draw a lot of the latino ladies that reside here in
this fair city. The latino's sure does love shaking their stuff,
and they shake it so well. I hope to check out Lucky Peterson
tonight. Apparently Willie Dixon was impressed by the prodigy
when Lucky was only 3 years old. If he is okay in Willies books,
then "dad gum it " he is good in my book too.

I would have liked to have known this was going on this weekend. I'm about 4 hours from saskatoon and would have made the trip up for some jazz shows, since I've gotta be in Regina Sunday night anyways. I should pay attention to the paper more often =(

 

[Ladies First]

I was "lucky" enough to catch Lucky Peterson while he was touring in western Europe. He puts on an amazing show - never lets up and involves the audience like few I've seen. He had a great band touring with him; not sure if he travels with the same people all the time, but if he does get ready for a treat. And his wife was part of the show; she's sultry, sexy, and a real talent in her own right.

Wish I could have made the show tonight.
