Hello,
I've been getting itchy red spots consistently throughout my body since mid-November 2010. They look like mosquito bites and they're occurring throughout my body in different areas every single week or so. As soon as the old ones disappear new ones appear on a different part of my body. They're also itchy. For the past year or so, I had a cbj and just had a few massages done. Does anyone happen to know what this is?
TIA
Hi poorman
It is really hard to diagnose conditions over the internet as we would need to look at the red spots as well as do some tests. What I can do is give you some suggestions on what you can do next.
From what you have written it sounds like you have been having low risk sex. Getting a CBJ and massages is practicing safer sex.
Syphilis is one STI that can show up as a skin rash, but at the same time there are many different things that can cause similar symptoms. I would recommend a syphilis blood test just in case.
I common situation I get at the clinic is that someone is having symptoms that they think could be a STI and they are concerned about seeing their family doctor.
I usually recommend that they get an STI checkup at an STI clinic, health unit or walk in clinic. If all your STI tests come out negative, you can feel safe seeing your family doctor knowing that your symptoms are probably not caused by a STI. Any type of rash on the body can be difficult to work out and sometimes your Dr will send you to a dermatologist.

Poorman I would suggest that you see a Dr about the rash. Since you have had it since mid-nov a STI test would show positive by now if it was causing the problem.
Do you have a clinic you feel comfortable going to?
Feel free to send me a PM if you want to discuss some things in private.
