It's time to renovate my kitchen and bathroom in my hut. Both can use more space and the fixtures are showing their age. I think an interior designer would be the way to go because they can give me some ideas on what changes to make, and can handle everything like getting contractors and purchases while I can just sit back on my bastard ass and continue with my day. Any recommendations?

Wolvie, many of my domesticated friends are big fans of the show "Trading Spaces" on The Learning Channel. I recommend making it part of your viewing for a while, so you can get some ideas and opinions on what works for you. That way, when you do hire an interior designer, you won't fall prey to their sales tactics and/or possibly differing tastes.

:)

(P.S. I'm impressed you can poon and still afford to renovate your place...)

Over 2 hands plus a mouthful big
Go visit some showhomes at a new subdivision. Many are decorated nicely and if you see a style you like, ask the drone manning the sales desk for the designer's name/card. They will be happy to give it to you.

Just south of here
Yes, there are a flood of design shows to be watched on TV.

I have used Wen-Di Interiors a few times and have been very happy with the results. That was a few years ago, but I believe it is run by the same people. They do a lot of the design for the UAH and Caritas Lottery Homes.

Well that's easy to answer:

Due to some recent less-than-satisfying MP encounters, a lack of response to emails and PMs from some other SPs this past week, a vague sense of malaise within the industry (reflected by a lack of activity in the Edmonton forum) and some potential girlfriend prospects to explore, I think I'm just going to take a break from pooning for a bit.

Try a place that does packages...just had mine done in three days...no muss or effort on my part (except for writing the cheque).

That is what happens when you want to renovate, good things cost money and everyone has to make choices. If you are sepnding in the 50 to 100k I can give you some good names that you may want to interview for the job.

Stay away from the MPS and find some good SP's and you will have a great time. Good luck in the bar situation, it is always fun!!!

LoL. regarding Wen-Di, have heard about the people who run that. Both are relatives of the owner of Jayman Homes, and that is the only way they have gotten into the business. Neither were qualified for the job, just shows what you can do with your brother banking you. They started out selling blinds lol.....
