I have been pondering the idea of a possible island tour, maybe spending a day or so in Nanaimo, and perhaps going further...

Surely you can do better than the Kingfisher for the likes of M1A ... hardly worth her effort ... suggest the Crowne Isle Golf and Country Club - just imagine - M1A @ the 19th hole . . .

Yes the Kingfisher is great ... the beach sucks.
But the Tina Mara is great to with its log cabins.. and its spa is really good.. and the food is also...its a nice place.. and it is more privat.
But you are paying for it .. I am sure she will love eather place.

Kingfisher is awesome. I went there during the Gourmet Escape package and it rocked. Considering that she might be there during the rainy season, she probably won't be able to go outdoors much anyways - so IMO, a beach that isn't as nice isn't a problem.
