Still lost in the '60s
The new mini series on Netflix, shot on Vancouver Island is amazing, stunning, brilliant, captivating and inspiring.
And that was just the first five minutes.
Now I want to explore more of my beautiful province.

Yes otters. Sea or River. Cute as fuck.
But.
Evil necro fuckers.
They'll drown a small mammal or seal or similar. Then fuck it constantly, passing it around for an otter bang for a week.
Cute though.

These otters were reintroduced back in the late 60s ,early 70s after being hunted to extinction during the fur trade. Threw everything out of balance ,once the otters were gone there was nothing to keep the sea urchins in check and they in turn ate the kelp beds where the otters would bed so that they didn't drift away. Kelp was also important to herring stocks because they would lay there eggs on the kelp,it was also a hiding spot for juvenile salmon when they reached the ocean from their home rivers

I enjoyed watching "Island Of The Sea Wolves". The scenery here is spectacular! Alot of it is so close, we can get to it fairly easily. I've been in other parts of B.C. as well. The landscapes are quite diverse with spectacular scenery. We are so lucky to be living in such a beautiful part of the world!!
