Hey guys, how do we know she has HIV? I briefly remember another SP said so? I just find it hard to believe a young girl would be putting so many potential people at risk intentionally, if this SP that "outed" her was so concerned why hasn't she taken this to the police? It's illegal after all to knowingly infect someone with HIV. I'm just playing devil's advocate here and am just presenting the other side of the token. With Bill C-36 I'm not sure who I'll be seeing, but more than likely not this girl just in case it is true that she has HIV. I believe the HIV positive person is still legally obligated to disclose their health status. This may have changed in that some liberal do-gooder thinks it may be too discriminatory against the poor HIV positive person. IE, their right to privacy trumps your right to know. The woman who disclosed her as HIV positive was a trusted member. I for one believe her. You could always ask her point blank, but that would assume she is honourable and would tell you the truth. This is a case where the bighead has to do the thinking.
I was personally warned by an Sp I call a friend. She called me as soon as this girl came on the scene, for fear I would get infected if I saw her.

I guess this has been answered by the latest posts and links ... playing safe/wearing a condom is protection not only 'medically' but also legally. Rumors..rumors... how many of us have been warned some provider has Herpes .. more often than hearing a provider has HIV. So we do not know for sure when a rumor is just a rumor, but when a few pooners report that the same sp has to take a certain time off every so often and during that time breaks out in all kinds of facial rashes and sores that soon go away, is that a sign? Even fellow-sp's notice but nobody knows for sure without seeing a medical report .. so how scary is that! Can they control it and protect the clients if she has what everyone thinks? If an sp thinks it is controllable and safe then she would keep being a provider if she has no other method of making a similar living. Even more terrifying if someone can be infected but have no visible signs. Is it time to stop pooning? Most of us are in the dark when it comes to having enough knowledge in this area.
