First I would like to say to Jack and Jill how this day so beautifully represents your hard work, your love and your life together and to both of you have my deep respect and gratitude.

Today you stand in the same moment where your parents , your grandparents and all of your ancestors once stood
And you also stand where your descendants will stand
How does it feel to stand so deep and so strong ?

I first met you when Jack thrust you into my arms as I walked through the door and he asked if I wanted to hold you,
It was then I knew I held something born in love . I have seen the beauty of this love grow throughout the years and is evident in everything about you particularly in your character, your smile and your cheer
And now your love has grown so much you are going to share it with an outstanding young man
Jane this is your moment and It is my honor to share it with you


As time slips by, all moments quickly pass then cascade softly into memories. It is my sincere wish that this moment will cascade softly into a beautiful memory.

I like the sentiment, but did not like the word >thrust<,

In stead I would say:

I first met you when I walked through the door and your dad asked if I wanted to hold you, then placed you in my arms.


I think the entire speech is thoughtful and very well done. You seem to have a good connection and the toast shows that.

It's not bad. The part where you discussed standing where your ancestors stood felt a little awkward to me and felt like it came close to being a little over the top. I would have replaced that with something about the girl instead, something that you love about her, and used a personal story, like the one of you holding her, to illustrate that point. Just my $0.02. It's nice otherwise.
