Check out BP and Craigslist in other cities all across Canada. The sheer number of ads is staggering compared to times past. Even if a good amount are fake it's still pretty amazing.

Obviously, to me, there are far more young Ladies supplementing their income in this fashion. Not even counting the sugar baby sites out there.

The large amount of adds despite some being rip-offs on bp. Because it is more socially acceptable to people then it used to be. SP have families that they support, its good money and not long hours compared to min wage work. So more women are getting in on it. (they need to invest money wisely for their future etc, not blow it on shoes etc.)

Men want to get laid and not argue about money with a spouse, so they stay single longer if they get married at all.

You can find a SP that will do things your spouse does not do.

In 2011 to 2013 I noticed increased ads on craigslist and backpage, seem to be women on 30's, not younger (in their 20's) like most popular agencies had at the time.

Do tall guys need to even to go on dating sites, I always thought if you are over 6 feet tall its pretty automatic that dating is a piece of cake.

I think being taller would give an advantage on a dating site because all you have to go from is photos and a description. Face to face, not as much. Also, there is a limit on height where too tall becomes freakish.

No pun intended by I think we need to think outside the box on this topic.

Collectively, we are only looking at Perb, Leo, BP and CL as our microcosm.

Add in all the Sugar Baby sites, the Cuddle up Sites and all the so called dating sites too. All of them have P4P ladies on them. Sure some are on Leo or BP but there are also some toe in the water escorts who advertise for a cuddle or maybe a dinner out / rent enhancement and then they bounce for the rest of the month. You can see an uptick in Leo ads the week before rent is due or perhaps when student fees were coming up.

I know this for sure because a few escorts I've seen started on the sugar baby sites and then migrated to Leo when they needed to increase their clientele for some upcoming expenses or some other personal financial goals.

IMO the industry is getting larger in Vancouver.

OP - Is the hobby getting bigger? Yes, but not necessarily in a good way. IMO it's getting watered down. I would much prefer a smaller hobby with quality SPs (in terms of reliability, professionalism, etc). We have a lot of greats at the moment but much more wannabes that are flooding sites. BP is a perfect example of this, and LL has far more than it's fair share to my liking.

Yeah I don't buy it. From experience there are a tonne of 30 something women that are very open to dating average guys in van and just as many 20 something girls that are into more short term things. It's definitely not just the 5 percent that get 95 % of all women. That is ludicrous.

And yes there are a lot more girls doing things for money in van now but that is mostly because of the economics here. It has nothing to do with dating apps. Online dating sites have created a situation where 5% of the men are fucking 95% of the women. And it gets worse and worse every year.

Here's an example of what I mean: Back in the eighties and nineties, if you wanted to have sex, you had to go to a club, hang out, meet girls, chat them up, etc. The whole process was fairly involved and you might go months or even years without hooking up. In the club, there were only a few hundred regulars so everybody knew everybody. This also reduced your chances of 'hooking up.' For instance, a woman might be interested in having sex with you, but she wouldn't do it because it might impact her reputation negatively.

In 2018? All bets are off. You have millions of people on dating sites. Women aren't worried about their reputation, because the dating sites give them anonymity. This setup creates a situation where women can 'chase' after the best man possible. That, in turn, creates a situation where the top 1-5% of the men are getting the lion's share of the women.

The reason that all of this is happening is because online dating has basically dropped the price of admission to zero. Back in the 80s and 90s, people had to invest time and money to find sex. Due to that, there was an incentive for men to 'settle down' and there was an incentive for women to 'settle.' Online dating fucked that all up; now a good looking guy never has to settle, and women can't get guys to 'settle down.'

I've had a mistress for nearly a decade, and I hear her talk about this all the time. Basically she would've found a boyfriend or husband a decade ago, but she simply refuses to lower her standards. So she winds up on the carousel, dating guys for 1-3 dates and then they ghost her. Before I nuked my Facebook account, many civvie ladies I went to school with would incessantly brag about what their husbands bought them. Cars, trips, jewellery, designer clothes, etc. Rarely (if ever?) did I read a nice comment on his character, intelligence, respect, etc. mostly just posts about the material benefits they were receiving. Because people can't relate to each ther personally any more, and rely on technology for almost all personal interaction hooking up is getting bigger, either paid or unpaid.

When people are able to actually carry out a face-to-face conversation, they tend to be able to build relationships.
