Can't think of many jobs where the practitioner has to accept clandestine behaviour from their clients that put the practitioner at physical and financial risk, because your job is legal but someone being your client is not.

Not sure how people can argue that using your body to bring someone joy for money is wrong when it is legal and socially okay for two grown people to go into the ring and beat each other bloody for money. I understand that many women/men end up with psychy issues from escorting, but same can be said for football players, boxers, wrestlers, police, firemen, any kind of doctor/emergency rescue person, and...the list goes on. We all got our choices to make and our own snakes to kill. Just cause a job can traumatize you doesn't make that job bad or evil, all it means is you probably shouldn't get into that line of work.

Saying prostitution was there job was the main argument in trying to get prostitution decriminalized
But it kind of back fired here in Canada and we end up with our own unique Nordic style law.
Of course the law has not be challenged in the courts yet and major parts of it could get demed to be unconstitutional.

I just had a session with my sp,
anyhow she told me how she saw a new client yesterday and in very general terms she describe how rude and arrogant he was how uncomfortable and even scared she felt.
she was out of mainstream for a long time. and getting back into it with a new website pictures etc.

I could see in her face how honest her feelings were, she was seriously uncomfortable.

that being said, even in my simple job, I have felt scared and uncomfortable.
but I won't go there,

first responders have talked about ptsd doctors burn out etc etc.

I think being an sp could be the best job in the world or the worst.
me and my sp have a good time a relaxing time, we even socialize quite a bit,

but I know its not always like that.
I also know that in Calgary there were help wanted signs everywhere at one time, she was in it for a decade or so lots of job opportunities and school opportunities she could have moved on.

I dunno I'm not saying its easy, I know it can be hard. but its not something every women has to do. its a choice they make some where down the line.

Thing is, I totally understand that escorting comes with all those dark things, exploitation, trafficking (it's why I don't visit any shop/micro)... I get it... I used to be on the wrong side of the law and have worked for people who forced young women to do this...so I got a first hand view of how bad it can be from the inside- well, almsot inside lets just say...
But if people want to outlaw escorting cause of all the bad things it can "maybe" have with it, then they should outlaw the making of guns, knives, heck...outlaw cars- any of which can be, and have often been, used for illegal, violent purposes.

Just another job? LOL, no. But as someone already said, neither is being a soldier, spy, EMT, cop, pro wrestler, hockey player, politician, etc.

Somehow it's OK to build Atomic Bombs for a living but selling or buying a little lovin is a real crime, yeah that makes sense!

Really there are no jobs in this society .We do what ever we can to make money..if someone wants to pay there is someone that will do the "job"

I have done a number of things which I don't call jobs. It is work of sorts ..takes time to do ..and sone times payed well .Other time it did not .
If you do something you like to do and enjoy each day ..then who's to say it is a job or even work .
I have found it is better to be doing something with a purpose. .then to do nothing wasting the time we have .
I have done plenty of wasting time.

I know that most girls don't want to continue doing this job escorting .. but many just keep going back to it because there is no job out there where you can make a few hundred in an hour or 2 of work.
Let alone 1000 a day .

I'm under no delusion that these girls enjoy fucking me (otherwise I wouldn't have to pay for it), but how is that different from any other job? I get up and go to work each day not because I want to, but because if I don't my electricity gets turned off.

If you ask me, sp's have it pretty good. An ambitious one who starts young could easily retire at 25. Us men, on the other hand, have no choice but to keep slogging away until we're too old to continue. Sure, I could just save a lot and retire at 40, but that would mean no more sex (hardly a life worth living).
