It is a valid question. Some pooners likely are morally conflicted by their actions. They go and see a SP, then maybe some guilt sets in because they have a SO, or they feel ashamed that they have to pay for sex instead of being able to pick up some skank at a bar, or they buy into the other societal stigmas. Others don't give a shit. It's all dependent on one's upbringing and values.

I beg to differ. I was raised a good little Anglican and through sheer force of logic and studying various world religions in university, I was able to overcome the Judeo-Christian "guilt baggage" I had been laden with and develop the ability to think for myself. I have an excellent value system but it bears little or no resemblance to the bullshit I was indoctrinated with as a youngster.

What was that George Carlin quote? "I was Catholic until the age of reason..."

I'm much the same as JAG, in that I've come to my own conclusions - not based on what anyone has ever told me, but based on what I think seems logical to me having considered many sides. And freedom to do what one wants with one's body seems logical and seems to me that is should be a basic human right. So if it's a right, why should they be legislation granting that right only to infringe upon it?

I doubt that if the government ever does legalize it that they will have all sorts of pooner's right's/funding and rules about making women see certain clients like it or not. Most service industries are allowed a certain amount of leeway, Spa's can say "No" to clients with foot fungus or warts, restaurants can prohibit entrance by people not dressed my their standards, any store can make someone leave who is causing a scene. The government doesn't pay for Joe Shmo to eat at Earl's when he can only afford the daily special at McDonald's.

Though I must say, I don't have nearly as much of an issue with gv't funded pooning for severely disabled people like they do in the Netherlands. Though not necessarily at the going rate, but setting a reasonable rate for safe (unable to hurt a girl) clients in a safe setting might entice women who might not otherwise consider it because of the possible physical dangers. I know a lot of nurses who spend an awful lot of time "applying lotion" in a sexually therapeutic sense, and in various other countries (including the US of all places) Sex Surrogates are recognized and licensed professionals.

i like to think of it as simple economics - there's a demand for it, somebody's willing to supply it, and all that's left is the asking price.

Short answer no, I love pussy, spread the love!

I think that you are asking the wrong question, as morals were started on the basis of religion and there is no true way to separate it from religion. The basic foundation of morals is based on the 10 commandments and our morals are judged based on how well our actions conform to those rules in the eyes of God.

The root of the problem lies in the fact that we feel that we as people have the right to judge others, and for the most part we pick ourselves up by putting other down. So it might be hard for some professional ladies to be proud of their occupation, and there for lead to low self esteem issues, when in reality they are no different then most professional athletes.

The act of selling your body is done in so many other ways (Sports, Photography, Acting). It is only the fact that religion has made sex such a dirty thing that cause people treat it differently.

Bring on the Avarice, Very Veronica, and Lucy trading cards and promotional gear.

Now go out there and play hard!

People confuse God and Religion they are not the same.
