Additionally, it seems to be populated by consumers incapable of reading. Now, I realize that there are those who just want the acronyms and price list so they can order one from each column, but that's really not my target clientele. In deference to short attention spans and thinking with little heads, I did move my services/rates far closer to the TOP of the ad, but really? I h don't think I've ever had so many calls lately from callers that only seem to know my age and my phone number and nothing else. Quite frankly, just not really the type I like to see.

Of course, the ERSlist inquiries that are still made by email continue to be of the same high calibre of gentlemen that I meet through PERB, whether it be on the Island or back here in my 'gorgeous house and great fuck room!' (I think of you every time I say that, richardinrichmo, and it makes me grin every time!) That leads me to believe they're all actually PERB lurkers or members who choose not to share their names! ;D You all know who you are! Also, it goes without saying that the PERB members who choose to contact me directly have all been gentlemen with whom it has been a real pleasure to spend time. Thank you all for the lovely things you say and for the marvelous things you do (...but would it kill one or two of you to spank me once in a while?:wink

i start every response now with "are you aware im 46 and in cloverdale" . 9/10 of the time after all the arrangements are made im too old or too far lolz

I have noticed this too, about those calling without all the information. I just ask "have you looked at my website?" and when they say "NO" I say "well give it a look and call me back, thanks so much". I don't know if that is helpful for you Erica.

UH-huh. Me too! "Oh. You haven't read my ad OR my website? Well feel free to call me back after you have, OK? Thanks for calling...ByEEEEEE!" :wink:

It's not just you and it's not just erslist. It's almost every website. The industry is changing I think, and it's changing rapidly.

So...do you think with the striking down of the laws, that more and more micros/agencies are opening up to capitalise it? For those of us who will always remain truly independent, what do you see as the way of the future gc?
Personally, I have to say that having a place to go to in another city like CLUB78 that felt as comfortable to me as home, was amazing. Having a safe place to offer incalls is something that everybody working in this industry ought to have access to. I can see why for some ladies, they need the protection of an agency incall, booking, screening, supplies, security, etc. For some 'independent' women, I guess they work wherever their 'management' dictates that they work, be that hotel, motel, residence, stroll or parking lot.

Hi Miss Mel - could I ask you to expand on that a bit? I've read the posts above, but I've only been involved in the industry a year or two and I'm curious to know what you mean about the rapid changes.

When the laws change I think we'll see a massive change in the industry, I'm guessing that lots of girls will quit if things aren't decriminalized.

I appreciate the response.
I think this last point is very important. If the Nordic Model is passed into law I have to think that there will be a big shift in the average 'type' of client that remains involved. I know my own habits will change considerably.

If the nordic model comes into play it will mean that you basically have to stick to previously reviewed girls, that's all.

I have to agree;

As the hobbyist will become the "guilty", I, for one, will not see someone that isn't well reviewed. (or kinky :eyebrows: ) . How long would a "sting" on PERB or ERSLIST last?

The law is aimed at the street mostly because the politically elite that dabble in this hobby don't use the street and if they do they are idiots and deserve to be popped

With all due respect, Ms Sarah, I really don't see where I trashed anyone; I expressed an opinion that there seem to be more agencies and micros advertising there every day, and fewer women who are truly independents. I am a paid advertiser there, as here, and I did address these concerns in much more direct terms with the new management there. If I am paying to use a service, be it Shaw, my hairdresser, or the venues on which I choose to advertise my services, I expect to be able to freely express my satisfaction (or lack thereof) When I feel dissatisfied with service I receive, I will speak up about it. In my blog, I promote ERSList and PERB, and I tag both in every entry. In my email to the new management at ERSList, I suggested that perhaps they consider adding an" Agencies" filter and an "Independent" filter in the extensive email I sent to them citing both my congratulations on site improvements and concerns about some issues I have. (They do not respond...) After all, as an SP over 40, I think filters are a terrific idea! I also think its great that ERSList will soon be a nationwide venue; and I expect to continue getting calls from Albertans (like some of the PERBsters I've already seen from there!) I haven't used my free ads yet, but I intend to. I In order to keep up with agencies, I have to spend a lot more on bumps than I used to have to. I may simply end up deciding that it's just too expensive to continue advertising there. While I do take advantage of the promo, I'm finding it does not go nearly as far as it used to! For example: I used to get the $40 giftcard and the $35 gift card; now I have to choose one. That's an extra $35 to my ad budget. I have a website, etc. and I have an ERSList banner on it.
