is it a good idea to wait a year for buying a smartphone?

Last year i really wanted the iphone 4s,blackberry 9900, and galaxy S2. Now you can get all of these phones without adding extra money to a contract or buying it fairly affortable. Anyone else waiting a year extra to get their phone? Or is it better just to buy or sign for the latest gadget smartphone out there?

You're not buying a house...it's just a phone. Get one as long as you are not going into debt or it is not a financial hardship.

There will always be something newer, faster, lighter out there within 6 months of you buying the latest gadget. To echo the others, just take the plunge and don't look back.

Like that Nestea commercial, " Take the Plunge ". :eyebrows:

You'll keep on missing on the good things in life if you keep on delaying. ;) Its like delaying great SEX for old age. Hey Honey! I think we should be doing this position when we're 64. :pound:

I'd buy an older model of I could

I was one of the first to buy the *NEW FLASHY HTC ONE X* and it's been nothing but a piece of shit

I google all the problems I have with it and O see message board after message board with the same complaints and the worse news that HTC doesn't have fixes for the problems - going out for repair for the 3rd time tomorrow

Get something thats been out for 6 months to a year and read reviews - it gives developers time to get the bugs out as well

Depends what you're moving up from. If your phone is super old(3 years+) then move up. Otherwise just wait until prices start to drop. The new standard appears to be phones with quad core cpus, 2 gigs of ram and 4.7" screens.

If you're good with an S2 as an upgrade, those can be had brand new from virgin\koodo tab plans for $150. Just pick one up for $0 with $150 tab and cancel the next day at bestbuy\futureshop.

Exactly, but if you're not a techno freak and doesn't absolutely need the last model, just buy the previous one for a lot less. For example, if you do not care for the littlest improvement on the iPhone 5, just take the 4s and you'll be happy with it.
