Yah, I really don't pay any attention at all to the Nobel prizes. They mean nothing except to a select few...usually the people who receive them who make some grand speech to a bunch of their peers.
The Nobel Peace Prize does not even close enough to the angelic deeds of this wonderful Polish lady. Truly a woman for others. Irena is one of the reasons why the sun shines. :nod:
The nobel peace prize is supposed to be given for promoting peace, not doing good deeds for others. Heroism has nothing to do with it.
The requirement is: "...shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses".
Even bad people can get it, provided that they do something to promote peace.
Al Gore wasn't given the prize alone, he shared it with an organization.

These committees are so political that their appointments mean nothing.

Irena is now reaping her real rewards which is far more substantial than a Nobel Peace Prize. :nod: A human rights hero like Burmese politician Aung San Suu Kyi and Chinese jailed activist Liu Xiaobo who were both awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Personally, I do hope she could have been awarded the said Nobel Prize so that Holocaust victims can shove it up the ass of those people spreading lies all over the world that the Holocaust didn't happen like the President of Iran. :thumb:
The nurse that took care of Irena before she passed away happened to be one of the babies she saved from the Warsaw Ghetto. If you do good deeds, it will come back to you. :nod:
