I just got a new one. It is faster than 3G and has more function: better photo capacity (3 Mega pixel), video, compass, voice memo, and more capacity 32 G compared to 16 G. It's better than 3G, but still has room to improve. Now, what should I do with my old one?

Not me. I'm waiting for the ultra new iphone that's coming out after this latest new one. I think it will hit the shelves in September.
not so, the newest one has already hit the shelves, probably to be upgraded in a years time.

If however you are correct, please post a link, I'd be interested in looking at it

You are a prime example of why I posted my sarcastic remark. You have an iphone 3g., but you're upgrading to the new version. (Your privilege, your prerogative and your money.)

It seems that a lot of these latest and greatest electronic communication toys are upgraded and re-engineered just as soon as the latest hits the market. So, 3 months later, your newest version suddenly becomes outdated.

So, don't panic schizo-man, your latest purchase is the latest I know of, there is no September roll out of any new version, at least not as far as I know.

I'm the same prime example I have to admit, I need the new gadget out, but I have the money so why not, I just wish I would've ordered it quicker!

The difference between an iPhone 3g and a S is not enough to be worth an upgrade from the 3g to the 3g s, only differences are slight bit of speed, compass and still a poor camera.

The next iPhone will be a large enough jump to be worth upgrading since most original iPhone users will be at the end of their contracts and the 3g users will have had some good usage time.
Its silly to be upgrading your phone more often than once every 2 years.
I have an 8 gig iPhone 3G and it stores more than enough video and audio then the average person can really use, yea there's the guys who are like I got 10 gigs of mp3s, but do they listen to all of it? If you don't listen to something once a month why is it on your phone?

Like anything don't buy the first version, wait for them to get the kinks out which would be the 3G then wait for the iPhone 2.

Gotta ask.
Blackberry or Iphone for work?
Which do you guys think is better and why?

I have no experience with blackberry but what I hate about IPhone is the lack of security on email and voicemail. Anyone who picks up my Iphone can hit a button or two and read any saved emails or listen to any saved voicemail without entering a password.

What I like about my Iphone is the ability to download and add apps.
I do not use it for business... just personal stuff

Bang on Bobo Im in that situation come 1 to 2 yr there be another Iphone that will blow 3GS out of the water and i'll be happy to upgrade then. Until then 3G 16 GB will do just fine.

Back to your orginal question I would say go for the iphone a lot more functionality and you can make use of the ultities and apps to be more productive than a blackberry IMO

I upgraded from a 3G to at 3gs and it's a massive improvement, much smoother, apps load and run way faster, the web browsing is much smoother. As for the biz vs personal - I would take a iphone over any BB anyday.. much easier to use, wider variety of apps for specific businesses.

If you use your 3G quite a bit I would not hesitate in getting a 3GS.

Damn you. I've been trying to hold off upgrading and now you've gone and sold me. I'm hitting the Rogers store when I get home.

I can stop buying so many more shoes than I need, but trying to not spend excessively doesn't seem to work when it comes to gadgets.
