Pretty sure this isn't a review. But did you try tapping the number with your finger? If not bring it into your service provider and get them to show you how to unblock the greyed out numbers.
It could be your apple ID password and sign-in issue, log out of the phone and logon again, maybe even reset your password for apple id.
