Investing Thread

A couple of weeks ago there was a thread in this lounge about investing (if you had a one thousand dollars, what would you buy, etc).

I tried searching for it, but it looks like it was deleted.

I'm interested in hearing from the person that suggested buying LVS (Las Vegas Sands). I would like that person to email me if they don't mind.

I think that is called investing in "sin". Alcohol, tabacco, gambling, etc. It has been said that such industries are stable even in times of economic downturn.

On that thread, I had recommended UEX at 0.83

It closed today at 1.32 for a 59% gain.

Unfortunately, I had pulled my IRL money out and put it elsewhere...
