Hmmm, well I have Intuit Quick tax Standard 2004 if that helps :(
Oh well ... ummmm ....

Dont I need the one for home based businesses ?

For 2005 it asked me questions about my expenses from home and work, and it did the calculations for me.

Quick Tax Standard will let you do home business income. I've been using it for years, and Standard has all the forums needed.

It let's you write off your vehicle, house (the portion of the house you use for business)

All you do is go to line 162, (on the T1) and double click, there it will take you to the Business Income Summary forum. From there you fill out some information, and double click on the "gross income", there it will take you to the T2124 forum, where you fill in your Income and Deduction, which includes your home, and your car expense, and what ever else you would like to write off :D

The good news is that you do not need a license copy anymore, cause it's not enforced anymore (b/c it's 2004, and not 2006 tax year)....this is on Intuit website, and when you phone them. The bad news is that you need to find a copy :(

If you would like the 2004 standard, just PM me.

If anyone has one I can buy please contact me threw pm.

Thanks
If you buy this year's version of any of their tax software (Future Shop or Costco) and register it, they will typically send you older versions gratis. Just call them. Their service centre in Edmonton have real human beings and they have helped on our small business a lot while Ralph kept moving goalposts here!
