I'm in Victoria this week and could sure use a "Dummy's Guide" on the scene. Using the board I've identified only two services and a few independants. Has anyone written up some sort of introductory report helping outa-towners?

Pick up a copy of Monday magazine (mondaymag.com) in the little yellow boxes around town. All agencies and most independents have ads there. If you have looked at the board, you will have seen plenty of links to bcdarlings.com, which has links to most agencies and some independents.

Also, search farther back on the pages than those which are shown on the first page, or do searches on those indies or agencies that interest you. There is plenty of information here.

Thanks, folks!

So far, so good, but more is much better!

I'm quite familiar with several cities and have written introductory guides for a few of them (e.g. Rotterdam, Den Haag, Kuala Lumpur). It's really helpful for the newbie trying to get oriented. For example, I've just become aware of the street scene in Victoria. I'd stay well away from the street scene in Montreal, so what's the story there?

Incalls are another unusual feature in Victory. There are a few places doing incalls in Montreal, but they're small and a bit dodgy looking. The idea of an incall in Victoria appeals to me. I'm quite surprised that incall is usually less expensive than outcall.

Not that I visit them (only been to one in Montreal), but are there strip clubs in the city?

Thanks again and look forward to more info to help out this bewildered new guy!

- If you like I can give you a personal tour of Victoria (or anyone visiting for that matter). We can meet up for a couple drinks, dinner, or what have you (dont worry Im not gay :D ), then hit a couple strip bars and I'll point you in the right direction for fun (escorts or street scene). Feel free to PM myself for further details ;)

It sounds like you pretty much have it figured out, unless you are looking for some sort of "seedy undercurrent". Everything is pretty open. There are no hidden "asian massage parlours" or anything like that. In another city, the agencies here would probably have to pretend to be "massage parlours" or whatnot.

There isn't a great deal to add -- the four incall agencies on bcdarlings website, another couple of agencies that would be of less interest anyway, and the indies that advertise here only (Eden, Ariel, Gina,...) and/or in Monday magazine. The info on this board regarding specific ladies, or the general opinions about the specific agency, is about all that is available on the net for public information. Each agency seems to have certain ladies in high demand, either for their skills or their youthful looks, and sometimes for both. Prices are acknowledged to be a good deal for the north american market.

There are no "rip-off" agencies that specialize in sending over someone to "dance" and then upsell like in many larger cities, including Vancouver. I assume that law enforcement here would run them off.

Checking the reviews here is probably the only way to select specific ones --- there are plenty of posts here of the "who's good for xxx" variety, with a variety of responses (or little response). Pick ones that interest you, use the "advanced search" option, and select all Victoria reviews, so that it will include the 411 section as well. This post, by the way, should be in the "411" area --- it's lost here down at the bottom on the index page, and many people will not notice it.

There are no real legal risks involved with any of those options --- i.e., ladies are not worried about being set up for a sting like in most American cities, and they will be pretty much upfront about telling you what they offer. The agencies do outcalls as well for an extra $20 or so; not all of the indies might, but their locations are probably nicer than the rooms in the agencies anyway.

The posts on this board describe the street scene pretty succinctly, and there doesn't seem to be much of one anyway --- an occasional woman out in a particular area a few blocks north of downtown (e.g.; search for "street" for info), but most seem to agree that the agencies or indies are a much better choice, except for those that get a thrill out the risks involved (stings from the streetwalkers; possible run-ins with the law) and those on the hunt for a cheap bj.

There used to be a general intro to Victoria on the World Sex Guide, but if it is still there, it is way out of date.

There are two strip bars --- Monty's downtown, and the Fox on the way out of town on Douglas street --- no private dances or anything like that available. It is a far cry from Montreal (I think there might be air dances at a distance at Monty's), but they each have pretty ladies that take their clothes off at regular intervals.

...and oh yeah -- search Maude's posts for web links --- he provides a helpful service by frequently answering questions by posting links.
