your mom says hi.
Directed by Steve Nash (yes that Steve Nash) and Ezra Holland. I can't wait to see this, in my mind Terry Fox personified everything that it meant to be a Canadian which these day's we seem to have somewhat lost. What a courageous, selfless human being. It's amazing to me that more people don't know of his story and it's down right embarrassing that younger Canadians are just as close to the top of that list of not knowing as say Americans.

Kudos to Steve Nash for taking this project on. Steve isn't like a lot of other "Canadians" that left for L.A. or New York and never came back. Steve is back in Canada often doing things for the community, he's one Canadian that never forgot about where he came from.

I agree...

Terry is a true hero...

fate and circumstance made him the hero he remains to this day...

sad to say, but the fact that he never finished his run and his ultimate death from cancer shortly thereafter enhanced his legend...

it's hard to believe he would be 52 years old if he were still around today...

also kudos to Steve Nash...

Nash is one of the humblest, most soft spoken, self-effacing men you could ever meet...

but in Nash's case it is legit...

not the phony self-serving crap that you encounter with so many people...

Wasn't when I was there and that was the middle and late 80's. It might also depend on what province you are from as well. Rememberance day is still a day off school in BC but not in Ontario.

After making a good documentary film on Canadian Hero Terry Fox entitled " Into the Wind ", I'm looking forward to Meathawk Production's next project which is about Brazilian soccer legend " Pele ". Timing is right before the next World Cup in Rio. :) :)
